My family and I were staying in Siesta Key for the weekend and wanted to eat Peruvian food. We were a group of 16 and called in for a reservation. When we showed up for dinner we were immediately seated. It was about 9:30pm and we were the only clients in the restaurant. We were a little scared to have seafood, since it was our first time visiting this restaurant. I googled it to see if it had been reviewed and was pleasantly surprised to see close to 100 reviews rating it 4-5 stars. Several of us decided based on the reviews to go for the seafood. I must say it was the best Peruvian food I've ever had in a restaurant! The food was AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS!!! It was fresh and the staff very attentive, friendly and we were served pretty quickly, considering our large group. We decided to stop by again the following day, before heading home to Orlando and Miami. We'll definitely be heading back to this little gem! It's a tiny little restaurant, nothing fancy. However, their food tastes like authentic homemade Peruvian food and is top notch along with great service and nice...
Read moreOverall, I’ll score a 2 because food no flavor . Big portions but no authentic Peruvian. I order tallarín verde con pollo and it tasted like the noodles were over cooked and so much and it came with grill chicken. Well, it looks like they use this particular fillet for all their dishes that have chicken because my kids ordered the Grilled Chicken plate which it had the same pattie . Huge plate and portions . Their plate as well no flavor from chicken to rice . We also ordered the Papa a la Huancaina which that was absolutely a flap . It tasted like water down sauce(horrible) but instead of chips they bring you baked corn with this light green sauce which was the life saver for all the dishes (😁). Ended up mixing that into the appetizer,it was sooo good. Then, with the noodles and even with the grilled chicken. I personally I was not just impressed. Maybe if you have health problems and you have to eat foods with no flavor by all means that could be your spot but authentic Peruvian food is the best and this place for...
Read moreThe best Peruvian food I’ve had! And I’ve tried many Peruvian places! After seeing the great reviews on Yelp and google, we had high expectations... but Peruvian Grill still exceeded them! The service was wonderful, we loved our waitress. We ordered papa a la huancaina as an appetizer, which was to die for. Then we just got a chicken chaufa to share because we weren’t too hungry... and oh. My. Goodness. The serving size was HUGE! She brought out TWO heaping plates of chaufa so we assumed she thought we wanted two instead of one... but she said no, that’s just how big the chaufa dishes are! It was absolutely the best chaufa I’ve had, and I’ve had chaufa in Peru. I was blown away by the flavor. And we weren’t even able to finish the one serving size between the two of us! As icing on the cake, the Peruvian toasted popcorn (I can’t think of the name) was totally delicious and our waitress even gave me some extra to go when I asked if I could purchase more. Everything about this experience was perfect, and I can’t...
