EDITED REVIEW. 2/22/25 We entered Fattys with again High expectations. Immediately we were greeted by a sweet girl who seated us at a booth this time :) In hopes that a booth would be better. The server came to us in a decent amount of time getting our drink orders. We had ordered salads to get before the meal, unfortunately that did not happen in a sense. They came out and our food was in tow very close behind. I eat ALOT slower than my husband so I took my time. (Not a big deal) Hubby and myself were enjoying our time together so this was ok. My husband said the Philly was a Philly nothing special. The salads though were fantastic! My food was amazing! The sweet potato fries were decadent and I'd go back just for those.
Unfortunately, team work and service seems to be a issue. My husband sat for a good amount of time without a refill. When the building was not busy enough for that. As we looked around at where she may be, she was at the bar front. Im not going ro say chit chatting as I do not know. It could have been about work. Though a bit more attentiveness would have been better when it comes to someone having an empty drink. It was even more about the fact there were two women in that dinning room. One that walked past our table more than once while our server WAS busy. My husband's drink sat on the outside empty. Why are we not helping each other ? Our experience could have been much better had the service been a bit better. Thank you for the good food. Needs better teamwork.
I have wanted to try this place since I was told about it, about it months ago. šŖ Finally for the first time my husband and myself were able to pop in before close. Upon arrival the parking lot was full but expectations were set. Keep in mind, we are sitting at the bar. We walked in and was presently surprised by the amount of people though we were immediately greeted by a sweet hostess who directed us, that we could be set at the bar. Upon sitting at the bar (we did not sit very long) Maybe 7 or 8 minutes, we were not one time acknowledged. Several ladies waltz past without even a simple hello. To the point I believe the manager even stood beside us and again still nothing, no smile, wave, hello, ill be with you in a moment NOTHING. At this point we decided to leave. I will say this is extreamly disappointing considering how long I especially have wanted to come here ā” Hippiebynatureā” NOT A HAPPY HIPPIE
UPDATE!!! THE RESPONSE FROM THE OWNER IS NOT ADEQUATE OR CORRECT AS WHATEVER VIDEO THEY WATCHED WAS NOT OF US. WE WERE SAT DOWN AND NOT TALKED TO AT ALL BY ANYONE OTHER THAN THE HOSTESS IN THE BEGINNING. WE WATCHED AS OTHER PEOPLE WERE SEATED AND GREETED HOWEVER NOONE DID THAT FOR US. THE OWNERS NEED TO RE REVIEW THEIR FEEDS FOR THE APPROPRIATE VIDEO EVIDENCE AND NOT ASSUME THEY LOOKED AT THE CORRECT ONE. THIS WAS OUR EXPERINCE HERE END OF STORY. WE WILL HOPE THAT ANY FUTURE VISIT WOULD BE BETTER AND AS SUCH WE WILL GLADLY WRITE A BETTER REVIEW WHEN WE RECIEVE...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWhere do I start... been coming here off and on for 10 years now. It 'used to' be a great spot and we recommended it to vacationing folks. However over the years it's quality, portions, service have all sadly declined. Needless to say it was fairly disgusting during our most recent visit to have been drinking out of a coffee cup to notice lipstick on the rim, ok maybe it's stained.... nope it wipes off. Instant appetite loss!! Sadly this is only one complaint from our more recent and final visits here.
Over the past 10 years as we stopped in, it seemed like the food began to get more exspensive (which ok I get) but with that the portions also got smaller. Example, Wild Fries one of our favorites used to be a huge (shareable) plate of potatoes smothered in pepper jack cheese, with jalapeƱos, bacon pieces, sausage crumbles, ham cubes for $7.
After awhile, it went to $10 (again I get it) but the plate got a little smaller. Next time the plates now $12, same size plate however less toppings.
This last visit, Wild Fries now cost $15 and we got a full plate of potatoes that was only half covered with a single slice of cheese along with maybe a scoop the most overcooked dried out ham and bacon imaginable. The other half of the plate was plain potatoes. The wild fries we knew and loved are now gone (guess we'll be making them at home now)
It can all be like that you might say, well we also ordered an Ala carte egg over easy ($2) and we got an egg with the yok pretty much gone, dead, nothing.
We ordered an Eggs benidict which was more or less hard boiled shellless eggs on dry pieces of ham.
The service?Ā Why didn't we say anything, make a fuss or ask for new food? Well our waitress was aware we were less than impressed and couldn't be bothered, she seemed as if she would rather be elsewhere. On top of that we'd already waited 25 min for our food.
Sadly this will be our last visit to Fatty Patty's and we'll no longer be recommending it to anyone in passing. It was good for awhile but it seems like the love that drove the restaurant for so many tears is no...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLong story short; unapologetic for their horrible quality of food and substandard customer service.
Presented the restaurant with an event that needed catering and disclosed how many people would be there and how much the budget was. Staff said they would be able to feed that many people for the said budget.
Day of event comes and the designated employee that dropped off the food was in a sourpuss mood and lacked customer service all around - this was just the first strike.
-- Food was cold -- there was NOT enough food (20 sausage patties for 60 people, 30 biscuits for 60 people) -- fruit tray was sloppy -- there was no gravy for the biscuits, but that was agreed upon prior to booking them. -- eggs were powdered -- cinnamon casserole cake was dry and overly priced for bread and cinnamon thrown together last minute --bacon was under-cooked
When I addressed my issues of concern POLITELY, the staff responded with a "what did you expect for your budget and the number of people."
Although the budget and number of people were discussed prior, the staff NEVER expressed or disclosed any issues of quantity or quality BEFORE placing the order. As a restaurant, it is their duty to make their customers fully aware of what will be provided and what they are able to follow through with. This was not the case. The budget was big enough to feed 60 people, the restaurant tried to maximize costs and cut corners all over the place. Like I said, their cinnamon casserole was just bread and cinnamon thrown together - with no icing for $90.00 and was not enough for 60 people!
Overwhelmingly dissatisfied and disappointed on...
