Garden restaurant — Restaurant in Florida

This place is a 1970s Time Warp and I mean that in the best sense. The decor, lighting fixtures etcetera are obviously not of this era, but they are so meticulously maintained and apparently cleaned that all is in an excellent state of repair and it is one of the cleanest looking restaurants I've ever been in. The service is terrific, and every waitress we've had was so pleasant and efficient, as well as their assistants. The kitchen does a great job, the food comes out fast, perfectly beautiful clean plates and the food is excellent at very reasonable prices. This reminds me so much of the many places I ate at when I was young up in New York, because it is connected with a drugstore, and even has a counter and small booths bordering the drugstore, with more booth and table seating in an adjoining dining room. We have passed this place for years and only several months ago decided to stop in and I'm so sorry we didn't stop in sooner. went to this restaurant today on my lunch. I thought it would be great for a fast diner style lunch. I walked in and sat myself. They were busy enough so I understood when it took my waitress 5 minutes to bring me a menu. Another 5 minutes I had something to drink but then... my waitress never came back. She was busy helping everyone else and seemed to be working the lunch rush by herself. At this point I'm more frustrated than upset. When I did get upset was when my waitress waited on a couple that came in 15 minutes after I did, that were obviously her "regulars" as she spoke to them by name. No, I didn't cause a scene. I even left the money on the table for my drink. I quietly left. It's sad because I was really looking forward to eating here and putting it on my lunch list. I had an absolutely delightful experience at the Garden Restaurant! I ordered the chili and cheese omelette with potatoes and wheat toast, which was highly recommended by the sweet and charming Janet, my lovely waitress. From the moment I sat down, the service was incredibly warm and welcoming, giving the restaurant a true "Mom & Pop" vibe that made me feel right at home. My food arrived in less than 5 minutes, which was impressive! The omelette was cooked to perfection, and the potatoes were crisp and flavorful, all complemented by a nice, hearty wheat toast.
