I came to Florida for the first time I was so excited to come to fort Lauderdale but when I arrived I was so disappointed with the lack of cleanliness I'm also wondering why they call this a hotel when this isn't a hotel it's a motel a crappy one I had to kill roaches and when I arrived there was hidden fees that they hit me with before they would even give me my key the strangest part was the room protection fee the lady behind the counter when I arrived showed me pictures on her personal cell phone of disgusting dirty sheets as if to say I had any intention of destroying the room the room was already destroyed cracks in the walls again roaches which is disgusting no microwave in the room only a fridge the door did not close completely and I honestly did not feel safe I had prepaid for my room so I had to stay as I'm going to fixed income and couldn't afford to go somewhere else I wonder how long I will have to wait to have the room protection fee returned to my card as I did nothing to destroy a room that's already destroyed in short it was a disgusting housekeeping came after my first night here I requested she changed the sheets she then informed me that she did not have any clean sheets on her cart and she promised to come and change my sheets the next day she never came...smdh it was a horrible experience for my first time coming to sunny Florida they have a lot of nerve calling themselves the Grand hotel there's nothing Grand about it it's filthy it's nasty it's roach infested the board of health should come and pay this place a visit..... I'm very disappointed all the money I paid and then to hit me with fees when I arrived they have a lot of nerve..... They don't even have cable TV I was unable to watch anything that I like only local channels yet they have cable available on the TV downstairs at the main desk but not in the rooms at least not in my room I will never stay here again and I'm wondering how long I'm going to have to wait to have my money put back on my card I didn't do anything to this disgusting room I just unfortunately was forced to stay here because of lack of money to go somewhere else I know I...

Update after Hotel reply: Thank you for your response. However, I must express that it feels quite generic and does not address the serious issues I faced during my stay. I have attempted to reach out to management several times regarding these concerns but have not received a meaningful reply.

The conditions at the hotel were unsafe, and it was distressing to see that the staff did not take action when faced with potential threats. They didn’t even want to call the police or check the cameras when individuals were trying to break in to our rooms, nor did they intervene to ask those people to leave the premises. This lack of response is deeply concerning and left me feeling vulnerable during my stay.

Initial review: My family and I went to this hotel seeking a safe place to stay during Hurricane Milton since we live in SWFL. The first night was okay (we arrived the day before the hurricane), but on the second night, two people showed up in front of our room and started banging on the door, yelling and demanding that we open it while trying to break in, one of them wearing an ankle tracking device. After we stated we would call the police, they took off, but right after that, they began banging on my extended family's door. Thank God we called immediately and told them not to open. We thought we were in a safe place, but I strongly believe they were trying to rob us inside the hotel. The weirdest part is that they only knocked on two room doors: mine and my extended family's door, despite there being a few rooms between ours. After a few minutes, I went to the front desk asking for help and requesting that they call security or the police to investigate; they only told me they couldn't do anything to help. We decided to leave right away because we felt unsafe and suspected that the staff might be implicated since these two individuals were only trying to break into our rooms.

I have been calling the hotel, trying to speak with Peter or Daniel to explain the situation, but they have never called me back after several messages.

It was a very...

This place was horrible. I’ve been calling the front to speak to a manager and get a refund for 2 days now. The calls are answered then put back into the waiting queue. The place is rundown, dirty, corroded, and moldy. My entire family is now coughing and feeling sick. I have pictures of everything. The Corrosion in the bathroom was everywhere. It’s stamped over to the kitchen and all of the doors. There was mold all over the edges of the walls in the floors in the ceilings. We had a two bed for four people, and they only provided us for two towels to use. When we asked for more, they had a very bad attitude and told us the only two were allowed and if we mess those up, we would be charged a big amount. The ice machine and the vending machine machine didn’t work. They were empty cigarette boxes all over the landscaping with cigarette buds and other excess trash. No people hanging outside of their doors drinking and smoking. The key card didn’t work and we had to reach out to security and front desk anytime that was needed to get into the room. This place is like a wrong turn episode. I would not recommend anyone to go here and I am going to continue to fight for my refund as they are posting propaganda online. The pictures do not look as the place really is. And their post are very deceiving. This place is not safe. The first night there there was a hit-and-run in the parking lot with one car hitting three parts vehicles. There’s a bar and a club inside the hotel. The hotel lobby, and this entertainment area are the only thing they look clean and approachable. Everything else looks like it has not been maintaining years. My kids were very much anticipating getting in the pool, but it was so dirty. I was not comfortable with them enjoying that. I’ve been trying to get a hold of the Front Office for two days now and nobody will answer me. They’ve hung up in my face and they’ve kept transferring me to hold. Please save your money, this place has the worst customer service, sucks at safety and luxury, and will only...

This was me and my family’s worst stay at a hotel EVER! The Absolute Nightmare on the grand hotel in Ft. Lauderdale…..AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE! Rating: -10/5 I'm still trying to process the unmitigated disaster that was my stay at the grand hotel. The moment I stepped into this dump, I knew I was in for a treat – and by treat, I mean a catastrophic experience that would leave me questioning my life choices. The room was a tiny, cramped shoebox with a bed that felt like it was purchased from a bad 80s time capsule. The "luxurious" linens were stained, the pillows were flat, and don't even get me started on the "en-suite" bathroom, which was roughly the size of a postage stamp. But hey, maybe the amenities would make up for it, right? WRONG. The pool gave my you her daughter an ear infection, the water was over all disgusting. And then, there was the staff. Oh boy, the staff. They seemed to be competing in some sort of bizarre, sadistic game of "Who Can Be the Most Unhelpful" When I asked for extra towels, I was met with a snarl and a 65-minute wait. It was all so disgusting and unsettling I couldn’t sleep at night fearing for my younger daughters safety the whole entire the night. Men would yell outside of the room and bang on doors. Everyone there smokes weed and cigarettes and stinks up the whole place. What you pay online isn’t all as well when I arrived I was informed I had to pay a $200 in person fee…?!?! I had payed just because online the hotel looked amazing. Come to find out it was a living nightmare. In short, my stay at the grand hotel in Fort Lauderdale was an unmitigated disaster. It was a catastrophic, soul-crushing experience that left me feeling like I'd been put through a wringer. If you value your sanity, your comfort, or your dignity, stay far, far away from this dump. Trust me, you won't regret it.
