Not recommended I’m sorry I usually try to like most of the food in this case because I do have an extensive background in Mexican cuisine, usually my standards tend to be higher because I was born in race there for 26 years. I try not to be too hard with Mexican restaurants, but grand hacienda this time didn’t meet the standards that I was looking for when it came to typical Mexican food. I really enjoyed the place. It’s beautiful. The decorations are amazing. I actually felt like a piece of Mexico was there in Gran Hacienda, nevertheless the food fell short of authentic Mexican cuisine. If you’re looking to have a good time with some margaritas, maybe this is your place but I wouldn’t suggest the food. Unfortunately, I have to be honest with my reviews and this just wasn’t a good place. The chorizo cheese was very liquid. It looked like a soup more than an actual melted cheese chorizo. The tacos we’re undercooked you could definitely see the tortillas were berry undercooked, and the flautas usually are crunchy. This one’s were not. They were very soft

Excellent service. The food was nicely done. The food exceeded our expectations. The decoration makes for a pleasant setting. The prices seem high to me, but I think I am adjusting to post Covid prices everywhere. Only one basket of chips gratis is stingy within the context of other prices. I dislike how they structure their specials. Such as buy one get half off one, but only certain proteins for that item, and a two drink requirement. Do they also want me to spin around in a circle and clap my hands three times to get the special? /s The two drink requirement was not mentioned by the server when he told us about the special, but I read about it in advance. Too many twists and turns to get the deal. Having said all of this, we will likely return and handle the prices given that the two most important aspects (service and food quality/taste) are good.

If you’re looking for the perfect birria taco experience, look no further! The Birria Tacos were an absolute dream—tender, flavorful beef with just the right amount of spice, perfectly crisped tortillas, and that rich, savory consommé that takes the whole thing to the next level. Every bite was melt-in-your-mouth delicious. And the service? Cesar was phenomenal! Friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about making sure we had the best possible experience. He made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in and went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. A winning combo of incredible food and warm, professional service. We’ll definitely be back—this place is a gem!

Cesar is a great asset to this place. He is personable and efficient. The food is consistently good. Every table I sit at is my favorite spot!

So fresh so delicious. Thanks Juan! Try the Pineapple Fajita! It is savory and original. The pico de gallo is phenomenal. I recommend the Charro Beans. Slow cooked to perfection. Why wait for dessert? I order my churros to enjoy with my coffee for Sunday brunch after church.

Fantastic service from Caesar.

I love Grand Hacienda. I look forward to coming here every time I come to Tampa. It is definitely worth the drive from Orlando.

Daysa was my server today and she remembered that I love table-side guacamole.

The coffee is always piping hot and comes in an earthenware mug that lets you savor each sip.

The house margarita is my favorite; they will even pack it wrapped in a to-go cup :)

Their chips and salsa are perfection. Fresh and complex.

I love the Mexican Street Corn. It comes perfectly seasoned with lime garnish.

I am a regular here. Arlenis was very good. We had two small children with our party.

I brought my friend and she is designating this place as her new girls night out hangout!

The mango margarita pitcher was the star of the show. It was delicious (strong) and a great value.

Sulian was my server and she remembered that I love the tableside guac.

I love starting with the churro and coffee.

It was my first time trying the sizzling steak fajita today. My new fave. A delight to the senses. The sound, the smoke the smell and the savory flavor. AMAZING. Suli is amazing. She always remembers me. :)

I tried the chilaquiles today for the first time. It reminds me of my vacation in Puerto Vallarta.

I recommend the Birria Ramen; it comes with two quesadillas. It is the ultimate comfort food.

For dessert I love the churros with ice cream.

They have a...

I haven’t had a dining experience this bad in years. Pros: smiley, friendly waitress. Cool decor. Chips & salsa. Cons: 9,000 degrees inside. It was actually cooler outside with a breeze at 6pm. Our margarita pitcher sat at the bar for almost 10 minutes so it was very watered down by the time it came out. Also couldn’t taste any tequila. The food took a long time, and then it was extremely bland. Shrimp tacos with cubed pineapple, veggies, and no sauce. Very dry. My husband’s burrito was a big slab of pulled chicken, beans, and rice with no sauce or flavor wrapped in a shell. We asked for some sort of sauce to help us the swallow the food down, and they brought us a very spicy chipotle sauce (good but a warning would’ve been nice). I had to change my baby, and the bathroom was nice but again 9,000 DEGREES. There was a line because there are 2 bathrooms. I’m at least thankful we sat on the left side of the restaurant because the right side (near the bathrooms) was so hot, people were red and fanning themselves. We were all so miserable. 😂 We were so excited about a new restaurant in the area but please god redo everything, so we can get a cool place that is more than looks...

I have to say I've been here a few times before and today was the worst experience I've ever had. I ordered the cucumber based margarita and it was so spicy that I couldn't drink. When I said something to the bartender she simply replied I don't know why it is spicy I have not put anything spicy in it. I have ordered this margarita every single time I have been to this restaurant and never was it spicy there was obviously a mistake on her part. Eisen ordered for an appetizer the queso fundido. All I can say is EWWWW. Again I ordered an item I could not eat there was so much freaking grease it was disgusting. It was like one big hard mess. What even made it worse is when I asked for the bill, it was obvious that I did not touch my meal or drink and yet wasn't asked if there was something else I would like or to offer a discount. I'm not talking like a freebie meal I'm talking like I did not touch my food and took one sip out of my margarita and drank water and still nothing was offered to make my visit better. The bartender was too busy flirting with the guy at the end of the bar to even notice how insulted I was. I won't be coming back here it just was that bad of...
