Hidalgo's Crazy Tacos — Restaurant in Florida

THIS PLACE IS A MUST TRY! I LOVE Mexican cuisine. I also love that not only is this a 'small local business' but the food is excellent and fairly priced. When you walk in the walls are painted bright green and there are a few tables if you'd like to enjoy a cold beer. The staff are very helpful and friendly. There were two people in there and the staff anticipated their orders. This told me that locals love this joint too. You can tell this is the type of place that you become a regular at and they'd remember you. The woman taking my order asked me my name not for my order but to place a name with my face. This was my first time and she knew it. I love that! I have been there twice since moving to Florida in January and she remembered me! How cool is that? We stopped here by accident. Google Maps thought there was a Wendy's in the middle of the highway intersection, and we had only an hour before a doctor's appointment for my dad, so we needed to find a place to eat, fast!

We drove down the road and I saw a sign "Tacos!" I yelled, and in we went.

It is a small place, with a picture of Frieda Kalho owning pride of place on the wall. The young lady at the window who took our orders and made our food knew all about Kalho, and she sure knew how to make tacos as well. They came with two sauces--hot and if you have to ask you better not! Both delicious.

Had a Corona beer with a slice of lime, and we were pleasantly surprised by the modest cost. Definitely a local gem that will get passed by the folks who don't study their google...

This taco shop is hands down the best place for tacos! The tacos are absolutely incredible—fresh, flavorful, and packed with the perfect amount of fillings.
