I usually buy from the new store on Lithia in Brandon. Always delightful. A good friend buys from Seffner regularly. Sometimes the donuts are dry. This morning I was going to buy a couple and the chocolate glazed looked dry... didn't mean they were, but they didn't look fresh, however I was hoping to order something else. After picking my first donut, I mentioned that the Chocolate Glazed looked dry and not fresh. With a gasp, the lady behind the counter - who stated she was the owner (which there seems to be some consistency here) corrected me saying, "I get here at 1 in the morning and start making these and they were made fresh last night..." paraphrased In all due respect, it was 10 in the morning. 8-9 hours later... those donuts could have been dry, and 8 hours later does not necessarily constitute as, "fresh baked donuts." Have you ever had a Krispy Kreme donut while the HOT Sign is on and eat another one a few hours later? Sorry, not "FRESH."
Nonetheless, I was going to buy donuts no matter what they looked like.. but, I didn't need them anyway. A win for me... I'll go back to my local store in Brandon. No issues there.
Are all the locations owned by the same...
Read moreThis was our first visit and we found the shop based on reviews on Google maps. My son's annual "birthday cake" of choice is a dozen doughnuts and we normal get them from Krispy Kreme. However, for this birthday I stopped in to the Krispy Kreme in Brandon and...let's just say that the condition of the store and doughnuts led me to leave without placing an order and look for an alternative.
Thankfully, I visited Hole in One the next day and what a difference this store was compared to that one! The staff looked happy to be there, the doughnuts looked delicious, and even the other customers in the shop were friendly and joking around with us! Not only did we get AMAZING tasting doughnuts (and a croissant) but the whole experience was just a pleasure!
We paid the same as KK (the prices listed on the menu on Google need to be updated because it was much higher in store) but they were absolutely worth it and we're happy we took a chance! We don't buy doughnuts regularly but he will probably want the same next year because they...
Read moreDon’t get me wrong, great donuts, but not nice management. I’ve been a faithful regular customer here, and today, after walking in with my energy drink (not sold there), was told I’m not allowed it in the store. I would’ve apologized and left, but:
...then 2 minutes later she starts harassing us while we were eating claiming we had brought multiple drinks in (not true - we bought the extra drinks she referred to there at the donut shop) and then telling us it was illegal to do that (also not true - I researched it) and got very angry at us when we told her there was no sign on the door. All of it in front of other customers. We kept calm and pleasant the whole time and I gave a generous tip (as it’s good food!) but I’ll take my business somewhere next time.
She singlehandedly ruined my girlfriend’s birthday treat with her crappy attitude...
