EDIT: i decided to come back and had lovely service. Just dont come past 10pm 🥳🥳🥳
It was the most disappointing night I've ever experienced. great opening, so you'd think they'd be on top of things, making sure your tables got everything in a timely manner. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. Let's set the scene: it's 10:30 p.m., we're hungry, and IHOP has just opened. Sounds delicious. When we arrive, nobody is there. We are quickly seated, and our server appears. She took our drink requests, and shortly after, they arrived. Then we placed our food orders and started to wait. When the waitress said, "Bringing them out one at a time," you could have assumed that they would all be delivered at roughly the same time 45 minutes later. WRONG. After another forty minutes passed without any interaction with our waiter, we naturally started to question, "Hey, where's my food?" She eventually shows up, but she has a baby in her arms. She had some random infant in her arms, and I can't even exaggerate it. That was how random and uncalled for it was; she didn't even know the name of it. We then requested, "Can you check on our dinner," feeling a little irritated by the 80+ minutes we had already spent there. She then enters the kitchen while STILL HOLDING THE BABY to ask the chefs where our dinner was. They were all just standing there when we peeked into their kitchen. When we arrived at 10:30, they had already begun cleaning it. That's not even all; in addition to this being a major health issue given that SHE NOW HAD THE BABY, a random woman who was also seen strolling around in the kitchen was wearing a tank top and some shorts, which I will guess were her pajamas. We ask for the check after another 20 minutes have passed because we are truly starving and want to leave. After another 10 minutes, she returned with our check and and another dish! We placed it in a box and then awaited the return of the card and perhaps even our supper. Then the waitress who had seated us came over carrying a large number of random plates, all but one of which were not ours. The catch is that PLAIN PANCAKES were the last thing we needed. Just the simple pancakes, nothing else. There were more non-our items served, and no card was in visible. When we stood up, we realized we didn't need the pancakes, so we politely asked the waitress to deduct them from our bill. However, we had to wait another ten minutes before even receiving the card back. I hope that they train their servers because this was such a terrible experience. NO ONE WAS THERE. Perhaps I would understand if they were busy, but once more, NO ONE WAS THERE. Get...
Read moreOkay I hate to be this guy, but i have never had service so poorly! First we go in and there's a 10 min wait. They didn't look that busy, so we waited. After being seated, 15mins later, the waitress asked our drinks. We kindly replied and was ready to order. My order was very simple. Crispy Chicken sandwich, With Cheese Lettuce,Tomato, and Mayo with fries. My fiance ordered a breakfast platter. The waitress came back 5mins later and asked what our drinks were again? Simple as can be, Water and Apple juice. (She honestly didn't have many tables). She finally bought our drinks out. 30 mins later, another lady comes out and says "here's yalls food". It was the breakfast platter without the pancakes and instead of a chicken sandwich, it was a cheeseburger. I kindly said 'Honey I ordered a crispy Chicken Sandwich and where are her pancakes"? This lady rushes off. 5 mins later, our waitress comes back with a chicken sandwich No Cheese, No Mayo. With lettuce, tomato and onion. At this point I'm just starving, so i take the onion off and scarf it down. I realized they just yanked the beef pattie off and put a chicken breast on there, but i just wanted to get the situation over with at this point. My fiance still hadn't got her pancakes. I was completely done with my food, my fiance had ate her entire breakfast platter and we hadn't been asked for a refill once. I was looking for the manager, but never seen one that i could speak to. Just teens that's appeared to still be in Highschool. The waitress came to give us the check and I stated we still hadn't received her pancakes and we would like refills. She acted surprised and took off. Ten minutes later, a young man brought us the pancakes finally...5 more minutes, we finally got a refill. They took $2.50 off the bill, like it was a huge favor. As you can imagine at this point, i wasn't about to leave a tip. I paid the little bill and wrote a big Zero on the ticket. I know that job can be stressful, but there wasn't that many people there. If you aren't equipped to handle a job, find one you are equipped for. I will not be eating...
Read moreSo i went with my boyfriend about 2-3 months ago and completely forgot until i saw some instagram post here and remembered my horrendous experience that i meant to review. i never really make reviews unless places are that good or that bad, it was that bad. First of all, there was a wait, not really an issue at all normally. But i also work as a server and see that this was odd because i want to assume there was at least 10 tables open and only 2 groups waiting (us and one other) and about 5-6 people at the hostess stand who were all obviously not hosts. some had to be servers and i saw over half them doing nothing the entire time i was there eating except for talking at the hostess stand. while we were waiting a small child no older than 4 falls down by bumping into an older waitress. she decides to TOUCH the child, pick him up off the ground and continued to touch him in front of his family and go “you’re fine you’re not hurt” blah blah blah. and continues to touch him without asking the parents permission AFTER child goes back to his mother. If i were that mother i would’ve thought this waitress crossed lines, you shouldn’t be putting your hands on other peoples kids without permission. we sit down after about 10 minutes and our server (i wont disclose their name because i’m not sure if they work there or not anymore) was kind but we had felt like we were forgotten about for a while when it came to ordering food, we waited like 15 or so minutes after ordering drinks. to be fair, we were sat kinda hidden in a corner closer to the kitchen but still. they redeemed themself later and were very kind and talked to us and we understood that their working conditions were not very fair after they explained some things. TLDR: i feel like no one (front of house) except our server was really doing their job and that an older, brown hair, female, server was crossing boundaries with a family and really hope she’s not doing that to...
