Response to owner- Having written over 400 reviews, I never go into a place with malicious intent, and I stopped by your place simply because I like that you had American flags out front. If your person greeted me, I did not hear it, so therefore does it really count. This is my opinion, and therefore not slandering your business, simply stating my experience. Your response shows no intent to make things right nor appease the customer. I stand by my statements, and promise to never frequent either of your shops for your sub par cookies.
I went in on 9/19/25 a little after 1:00 pm. The place was quiet and empty and upon entering I said “hello” to the lone female behind the counter. No response. Odd. I was at the counter, her directly opposite me behind the counter, no eye contact, and I again said “hello” in a friendly “hey I am here” type of way. She looked up at me, and with somewhat of a sneer said “I said hello”.
Well, my goodness! I simply replied “well, I didn’t hear you” and she said nothing. At that point, I now wish I had just turned around and walked out.
I inquired about the cookies and she said they were $5 a cookie. I asked “for one cookie?” because they were nothing special to look at. Plain cookies, no decorations or frosting or anything. I asked about the prices for a half dozen and a dozen and for a dozen she quoted me over $50 (my jaw was on the floor so I do not remember the exact price but it was mid 50’s). For twelve plain cookies.
At this point I am thinking to myself that they must be some absolutely amazing cookies that this place can charge that much for a cookie. I know there are some wealthy people in Suntree, but seriously, this price was absurd. I caved to my curiosity, and got 6 cookies for a total of $27.82. These better be some good cookies!
Shortly thereafter I arrived home, made a cup of coffee and pulled out a Snickerdoodle cookie. I broke it in half and sat down to savor it thoughtfully. The texture was semi-soft and it appeared to have cinnamon on the outside. The inside was snow white and the cookie had a faint aroma of cinnamon. I bit into the cookie and it was soft and tender, and completely and totally flavorless. I think of shortbread cookies as flavorless, and they had more flavor than this floured mass sitting between my fingers. “But there must be some mistake” my brain said. $5 for this cookie….. maybe I drank the coffee too soon after biting it. Another bite. Nope, no mistake. No flavor- at all. Not wanting to waste calories on something tasteless, I disposed of the remainder of the cookie in the bin.
After a tasty dinner of homemade pizza, I decided to try the oatmeal cranberry cookie. I liked the unconventional addition of the cranberry to a traditional oatmeal cookie. I noted that the cookie looked like it had been made using a mold as the sides of the cookie were perfectly perpendicular to the bottom. Unusual. I attempted to break the cookie in half, but was unsuccessful due to the extremely hard nature of the cookie. I could break off small sections of the cookie, but they were very hard. I tried a bite, and I have had crunchy oatmeal cookies before, but these were not crunchy, just solidly hard. They were also overly sweet and not very tasty at all. Another disappointing cookie. For $5. I have a peanut butter and a chocolate chip left to try, but at this point my hopes are not high.
I have read other reviews (after visiting) and responses from the owner about “quality ingredients and artisan methods” and that is a bunch of nonsense. A quality cookie should feel good in your mouth, either crisp or chewy, should have a distinct taste of something, and not leave you disappointed. There is minimal “artisan technique “ in cookie baking as my kids used to make them all the time and they were 100 times better than these. I wish when the girl behind the counter had snapped at me I had just turned around and left. I would have $27.82 back and I would not feel as if my good nature was taken advantage of.
Publix cookies are better.

Read more2/18/2025: In response to their recent response: If you want transparency then actually be transparent. Your employees telling me that someone tried to redeem 10,000 points is FROM THEM. In regards to hours—you were consistently closing earlier than posted hour for months without changing hours until recently. And in regard to orders—if you accept call in orders for small orders like I always did, I shouldn’t have an employee telling me they were too busy and to try a different day. Either accept orders with a longer pickup time based on how busy it is, or don’t accept them at all. “I’m to busy” is a horrible response from an employee in customer service, and you agreed with me about that on the phone. As for the loyalty program, it is understandable to end it if it costs too much. However not letting people redeem what they already earned and giving no notice to phase it out is bad practice. I like your products, and most of your employees have been amazing. But your poor business practices recently outweigh any love of the food or employees. I gave way to many chances with your establishment and unfortunately saving up for a reward I earned as a loyal customer to be denied using it the next day was the last straw. That’s like offering a coupon and the next day saying “I don’t feel like it anymore” after it already circulating around. I strongly urge anyone who is thinking about trying this place to go elsewhere that will value your money. Going almost everyday and spending $600 a month there to have this many issues is beyond. I wish the business the best, but for their sake and their employees sake I hope they take the time to read the conversations on facebook and the reviews about them to genuinely re-evaluate their business practices, and maybe some customer service training with a few employee’s.
Latest update 2/1/2025: Since last update there have been a couple issues between this location and 192 — staff telling me they didn’t have time to put together a to go order, closing earlier than posted hours, etc. Each time I gave a call to the owner and she acknowledged the issue so I kept giving chances as the staff at suntree is generally amazing. I went in today expecting to use my reward (either a free coffee or 10% off) that took me a while to get only to find out that the owner is not honoring anything as it was too expensive to upkeep. Was even told another individual had over 10000 points to get 50 percent off an order that they would not honor. Truly lost my business after that and the rest of the issues I had. I wish the staff well as they are amazing, but will definitely put my money into another business that honors the coupons/rewards I have earned from patroning them. UPDATE: The owner called me after reading this review. It sounds like due to staffing, they are currently closing early on weekends until they can find some staff to work those hours. During the week they should be open during their posted hours. I really appreciated the call, and I’ll definitely keep going to see if they can sort out their staffing. As of 10/28/2024 they ARE HIRING at the suntree location. :)
I LOVE going to the suntree location for creme brulee and chocolate eclairs. Unfortunately this is the 3rd time this week that I have tried to go after dinner for some dessert, and they were completely closed. The hours say until 8:30 everyday, so it’s extremely disappointing driving to an establishment for it to be closed. When I asked someone why one time, the response was “we just try to get out of here early, especially on weekends”. Please update hours and/or stay open for your scheduled hours. I spend $20-$30 there every time, and I wonder how many other people would be there getting stuff too.
1st time: saturday at 5pm closed 2nd time: tuesday closed at 7:15 3rd time: sunday closed at 7
*they may have closed earlier, just the times I was there and it was fully shut down with nobody...
Read moreA Great place for a delicious breakfast. Jacqueline's Bakery on Wickham is a wonderful place to get a meal. It is right along Wickham road in Suntree. There is plenty of parking. As you approach, the inviting aroma of freshly baked goods beckons you inside. The selection is nothing short of impressive, offering a tantalizing array of treats to satisfy any craving, from flaky croissants to decadent cakes. It could be a haven for pastry enthusiasts. The service at Jacqueline's is warm and welcoming. The staff members were eager to assist us in finding what we wanted for breakfast. The counter is directly in front of the entry door with the display case to the right with lots of treats. You order at the counter and they prepare your food and either call you or bring it to your table. The majority of the seating is inside with a few 2-person tables outside on both sides of the entry. The seating inside is a mix of tables along 2 walls. I ordered a slice of quiche. It came out quickly and was very good. The prices are reasonable for our current economy. It was about $9 for a quiche Lorraine slice. The cozy ambiance and delectable offerings make Jacqueline's Bakery on Wickham a must-visit destination for anyone with a sweet tooth and an appreciation for...
