This review is based on our latest visit to Jesse's - VERY DISAPPOINTING. We (four of us) have been dining at Jesse's for many years, going for holidays, birthdays and anniversary's or just for what once was a good meal and more importantly good service. We understand they are always busy, we understand waiting. We visited on Thursday 2/15 at 5:38PM waited 25 minutes for what was told to be 30-45 minutes so that was a nice surprise. When taken to our table, it was a booth, which a open table was directly next to it. I ask about utilizing that table as one of our party is larger and it is an easier situation. The clueless hostess said they could not sit someone in that section because they had just sat someone for that wait staff and we would have to wait 5 minutes, while we discussed this at length, about 5 minutes, the other hostess sat a family! RIDICULOUS! We were then forced to utilize the much small booth. Okay we made due, however should have been our first clue this wasn't going to be the typical experience at this establishment. Our waitress Crissy finally came over to take a drink order – took 15-20 minutes, which was the length of time it took each time she came to take appetizer order, dinner order or refill drinks, etc. Crissy became very rude and unprofessional when one of our party ordered a well-done steak and was ask by Crissy in a derogatory tone if she wanted it butterflied – our person indicated she’d never been ask that there and no she’d always ordered her steak that way, just well done. Crissy’s attitude got worse and it was all down hill from there. Crissy messed up drink order and blamed us? She argued that well done was not easy, she was very unprofessional and she needs some work on delivery and professionalism. If you were male she fell over backwards to provide assistance and if you were a repeat customer she knew well your order was brought quickly and she was friendly and courteous. Spoke volumes of how we were treated.
Balance of orders are taken and two of us ordered the Delmonico at medium well - this is a warm pink center - both steaks were well done and not charred!!! No what I ordered I wanted med-well and it was tough and dry so was the other persons and we both ended up paying for steaks we could not eat and it was taken home as a true doggy bag. This visit to Jesse's was awful and only went down hill from beginning to end. Crissy was rude, nasty, slammed items on the table and absolutely refused to look at or address the person that wanted the well-done steak. Crissy would speak to and hand things to everyone especially the gentlemen at our table, and it was obvious! Terrible service, horrible meal overall. We ended up not being able to eat most of our steaks, they were dry and awful, not med-well but well - we took them home and when we went into the bar where the manager was bartending and made a complaint it was again obvious that she could have cared less, made no effort to rectify the issues and just said I’m sorry. O.K., I’m sorry is a start but when a patron spends $200.00 for meals, you make it right to make sure they will return. It will be a long time before we return, if at all, especially when there are so many equally good or better restaurants that do want our patronage that we will visit. I would conclude in saying it has become not worth the wait and the management does not care if you return or not!

Read moreTitle: A Deeply Disrespectful and Unprofessional Experience on My Birthday
To go to a restaurant on my birthday and have such a horrid experience is an understatement. The level of unprofessionalism I encountered was shocking, and it’s clear there are serious issues that need to be addressed. Needless to say, I will never return to this establishment.
First, my clam chowder was served cold, and the silverware had a large piece of dried food stuck to it—completely unacceptable from a hygiene standpoint. The rest of the food was mediocre at best, especially considering the price. Still, I left a generous tip, believing in kindness even when service falls short.
But what followed was beyond disappointing—it was degrading. My diamond-filled keychain was taken from the table, and for 45 minutes, I was told by staff that I must have never brought my keys into the restaurant. I was humiliated in front of my family and other guests, made to feel absent-minded and dishonest. Eventually, the keys were found in the dishwasher—a discovery that raises serious questions about how they got there and why no one noticed them earlier.
Despite my repeated requests, I was told there were no security cameras available for review. I was then handed gloves and told to dig through the trash myself, as staff claimed they had already checked. I was even asked why I didn’t just “go get another set of keys,” as if the situation was my fault.
I explained multiple times that I had placed my keys on the table after locking my car and had not moved them. The area where the waitress cleared the plates was the last place they were seen. It is highly unlikely that a set of keys with a heavy, jeweled keychain could be picked up by accident without being noticed. And even if it was accidental, why were they not returned immediately? How did they end up in the dishwasher unless trash or personal items were being carelessly thrown in?
This experience was not just inconvenient—it was degrading, dismissive, and completely avoidable. As someone preparing to begin a doctoral program, I expect to be treated with basic respect and dignity. Instead, I was made to feel like a burden and a liar.
I hope this review serves as a wake-up call for the management to take accountability, train their staff properly, and implement better protocols for handling customer concerns. No one should ever be treated this way.
Sincerely, Dissatisfied Customer PS. I gave you my name and number, and did not receive any form of apology in the following week. Both of my Key Fobs were damaged...
Read moreFirst let me start by this was my first experience with this restaurant, and follow that with NEVER have I left a 5 star review. Now for the review. I ordered the demonte (wrong spelling I apologize) cut steak. And my wife ordered the prime rib. My son ordered their cheddar bacon burger. My steak was cooked to a level of perfection NO steak house has yet to offer me. Never once was I offered steak sauce… which was a huge indicator that they have pride in their steaks flavor and I was not disappointed! It was tender as a filet and I fined a 22 oz (which no steak house has ever achieved me finishing their steak even at a lower oz. I was immersed in the flavor and the melting sweetness of the fat that proved to literally melt into my mouth. My wife has their queen cut prime rib… which to be honest I’ve never like anywhere. This prime rib was butter in our mouths! I actually liked a bite of prime rib which again has NEVER HAPPENED. My sons burger was enormous and for a picky eater (probably my fault) almost finished his burger! To say that the meal was perfect would in my opinion be an understatement. I have NEVER been to a steak house that didn’t hear at some point my disappointment in their food. 5 stars is just too low for a max as I give a whopping 10/5 on their food. Now to service. I often start my tip at $40 and demerit a dollar every issue. If a drink goes less than 1/2 cup without a refill… if I wasn’t approached when food arrived… if I wasn’t approach after 4 bites to verify the foods to described temp… and of course how long dishes stayed at a table… So here’s another first in 45 years… I actually tipped my server $40. Service was impeccable! Kind service smiles and jokes (very well done) and even attention given to my son. In conclusion I can only speak for my experience but I can say I will return… even if there’s a 2 hour wait… I will wait with anticipation because never (to the surprise of my wife) have I ever had an experience this good at any restaurant I have a ever ate at. I bow and tip my hat to this small but quaint spot in Brandon. Its history is well proven and I promise I will not eat steak at another restaurant (except in instances of spontaneousness) as long as this place is open. To the devil with the wait… I’ll happily wait. Thank you to this wonderful place for showing me there ARE restaurants that know how to cook and treat the...
