Stopped in here at lunchtime for our first visit. Seemed like a fairly established joint in a strip mall chock full of restaurants. Not being in season, it wasn’t exactly packed, but a decent crowd nonetheless. The first booth we sat in smelled like BO so bad, we got up and moved. Realizing the new booth we chose had not been wiped, we moved to yet another. All of this happened while 2 young servers (and what appeared to be a boyfriend) sat in another booth laughing and wrapping silverware. The only person actually working there, Mary, finally had a chance to get to our table, and she turned out to be a great server. It was a shame she had no support. That being said, food was pretty decent, quickly prepared and amply portioned. Obviously, we didn’t catch this place during its best moment, but that’s the problem with first impressions. We’d go back if we were certain Mary could be our server. Otherwise, there’s a lot of other Naples dining options.

I visited Joey D's recently when visiting family in Naples. Our family shared a large Old Country Pizza. As someone who posts lots of food pics on Instagram, and focuses to some extent on pizza, I found this to be one of the best pizzas I have had in many years. The basil, garlic, and fresh tomatoes made for a spectacular tasting pizza. My wife and I also had side salads, and split a meatball sandwich. Both were very good. Service was also excellent. We never really waited for anything. Drinks were filled promptly, and they had a small crew of food runners, so our food was delivered hot and fresh. The only minor complaint I had was that it was a little loud inside. I think that was mainly due to a party a few tables down, who were quite loud. This place will definitely be on our list next time we visit, but next time we'll opt for a table outside.

Sadly disappointed. Based on previous reviews, I was excited to visit but my excitement was short lived. Many of the menus posted are outdated; prices have gone up and even tripled for some items (understandable given inflation, just fyi). I had hoped to try the eggplant parm but wanted white sauce in place of marinara- this was a $4 up charge in addition to the steep $22 dish. In its place, we had the white pizza. Long story short- the pizza was bland, the service was slow/lacking, the restaurant was crowded (in the dining room, not the sports bar area) making conversation almost impossible, overpriced given the quality of the food. Overall, mediocre. I’ve been to better places with more reasonable prices and more enjoyable atmosphere

On vacation from New York and heard from multiple people that this establishment was great. With said recommendation, we decided to go there on a Friday night. The place was crowded which usually would mean it’s really good or it’s has a cult following.

We get seated in a random booth and after 10 or so minutes we get greeted by the representative who takes our drink orders. Inevitably, the drinks come out, awesome.

We ordered some apps and dinner. My fiancé got chicken Marsala and my aunt got a claim dish. Ravioli and chicken parm were the other two entries.

When I say the chicken was chewy… you didn’t have to bite it because it just went down. The sauce had no flavor. The chicken Marsala was the worst Marsala I’ve ever had. It tasted super sweet and im not sure what that was supposed to be. The clams and ravioli were edible, which I guess is a plus.

We sent back the Marsala and asked for a simple pasta with oil because the pizza would take too long or something…. I didn’t understand the reasoning but at this point I just wanted to get this over with and move on with the hour of my life I’ve never get back.

The pasta comes out… it has chicken it in. We tell the waiter, he said… I knew the chef messed it up… you still bring it out????? They were definitely messing with us at this point so we just ask for the check. Then a random beer comes out that we didn’t order at any point. Best part… we got charged for it!

This was one of the singular worst dining experiences I’ve had. I cannot comprehend how that place is...

I was at the Joey D's restaurant on Airport Pulling in Naples this past Saturday. I have very mixed feelings about my experience. My husband and I plus another couple went for dinner. When my pager went off for our table the hostess was busy texting while I was standing in front of her podium. I stood for a while before I said excuse me. She conveyed annoyance with my interruption. Joey the waiter was great but my husband's entrée was brought out 5 minutes ahead of everyone else. He didn't want to be rude and eat so he waited until the others arrived and his pasta by then was luke warm. The food runners were another story. While bringing the three other entrees, one runner knocked over my husband's beer but never apologized or offered to get a new beer. She just righted the beer bottle and wiped the spilled beer off the table. I then offered my salad plate to make room on the table for the entrees and she then took my friends' salad plates without asking. Turns out, they were not finished with their salads. Joey did end up getting a new beer for my husband and everyone enjoyed the pasta dishes. I had pasta a la vodka with angel hair; the pink sauce was delicious and the pasta was cooked perfectly. I feel the management should set better service expectations for all staff as they clearly do not understand how important it is to survive. I probably...

First time trying Joey Ds after hearing a lot about them. We got take out so I can’t comment on the table service but the restaurant looks great and the service I received picking up the order was excellent. Rarely will I make a review based on take out from a restaurant unless that’s all they offer but WOW let me say I was extremely impressed with the food I had. I ordered chicken francaise which is a very simple dish with just a few ingredients but I can’t tell you how many restaurants mess it up. Well, they nailed it, the chicken was perfectly cooked, nice and tender, the balance of acidity from the lemon was spot on and the parsley was just the perfect amount. The pasta was cooked perfectly al dente and everything was seasoned perfectly. I also ordered a chicken parm sandwich, again the chicken was perfectly cooked, the sauce was almost as good as what I’d make at home (I’m new to Naples and lived my last 12 years in South Philly) or have in one of our fantastic Italian restaurants in south Philadelphia! I can’t comment on the roll since it was in a take out container for a good 15mins before I got to try it. I’m looking forward to going in for table service because if take out was this good then I’m betting this will be my go to Italian restaurant in Naples (especially since I’ve been so disappointed by...
