Just Cupcakin' Around LLC — Restaurant in Florida

So I found Just Cupcakin’ Around on a whim. I was driving from Orlando to Vero Beach to visit family for a birthday. Of course, the family member who was in charge of desserts forgot that the birthday girl cannot have gluten. So, on my drive I stopped at a gas station and called multiple places trying to find gluten free cupcakes- after 5 places all telling me either “special order only”, “only vanilla” or “we have a few but we’re closing soon” I called JCA and after listing 10+ gluten free flavors I added another 35 minutes to my already long drive. The owner was so nice, I bought a bunch of cupcakes (because there were so many options!) and was on my way. Now, I’m not one for gluten free anything, 100% gluten is how I like my pasta, pizza and desserts... but man, these cupcakes were so good! People weren’t believing me that they were gluten free! I actually got some from another bakery a few weeks later because I wasn’t near JCA and honestly, it was like eating a dry but super sweet corn muffin.

So moral of the story is, their gluten free cupcakes were amazing- so I can only imagine their regular ones are...

I bought a few mini cupcakes. The cupcakes looked beautiful. My favorite was the peanut butter cupcake. The frosting was creamy with a strong peanut butter taste. The cake was chocolate and just okay.(Maybe add peanut butter in the center of the cupcake.) The carrot cake and key lime cupcakes had good flavor. The frosting was bland. I was expecting a cream cheese frosting for the carrot cake and notes of key lime in the key lime cupcake and got neither. I came to the conclusion that the frosting is a light cream and something else but bland on most of the cupcakes. When..... I return I will get the peanut butter cupcake and try the chocolate cupcake. I am huge fan of buttercream frosting. I was looking for that taste but the cupcakes came up short. Staff was friendly. A cupcake is just a cupcake but a creation will have a line out your door and people wanting more....

Best cupcakes I've ever had anywhere!!! Different flavors daily but bakes her signature Death by Chocolate & Mandarin Orange Pineapple daily. Her cupcakes are in refrigerated cases since many have whipped cream frosting. Pam is the owner & baker, and is super friendly & helpful =) She bakes Gluten free & Vegan cupcakes too! Also has cookies, mini cheesecakes, the biggest selection of homemade fudge I've ever seen, including fudge for diabetics! She bakes cakes & cupcakes to order also. This is definitely a local business I highly recommend & we need to support our local businesses like Just Cupcakin Around to keep them there for us!!! Thanks for doing a great...
