This place was so much fun! We hadn't been to this business before, but all 6 of us had a great time. We got there right when it opened and ate by the bowling area and the bar.
The food: The food was reeeeally good. Brussels sprouts were flavorful, brisket nachos were cheesy and had yummy lightly breaded jalapeño slices on top, the buffalo cauliflower was delicious (very light on the spice, so it's safe for folks who don't like heat; we would've preferred a bit more, but it was still yummy!), and the veggie flatbread had the perfect crispy crust. Their dessert options were churro bites with chocolate and caramel dipping sauces, and chocolate cake. The churro bites were hot and fresh; crispy outside, soft inside deliciousness! Chocolate sauce for the win! The cake was suuuper rich, texture like a flourless cake. Rich and heavy. Really good. 5/5 for the food.
Bowling: We paid for an hour of bowling and had a great time. The shoes felt super wide on all of us, but whatever, not a big deal. You might want to bring a spare pair of socks if you're concerned about fit. Our only word of caution is that - fairly often - it would take a couple full minutes (or more) for the ball return to get our balls back. A few times we had 3 people bowl in a row (six balls in a row), just using other people's balls to take a turn, before the ball return finally kicked in and rolled 5 or 6 balls back at once. We looked for a ball return button on the console, but didn't find one. We may have missed it, I guess. We're not serious bowlers, so the lost time wasn't a big deal, but if you take it seriously then you might want to have 2 identical balls - if possible - so that you don't have to wait for yours to come back.
Axe throwing: After bowling we tried out axe throwing. It was a blast! There are four lanes available, and four people per lane are allowed. You can rent a lane for $25/30 minutes. There was a really helpful staff member on hand to give us pointers and keep us from maiming each other. She was great! I think you're able to make a lane reservation for a specific time, as well, so if you host MeetUps (or do any group fun organization) that could be really handy.
Throughout the entire evening our waiter from dinner kept track of us from our table, to bowling, to axe throwing, and kept our glasses full. It was just a really good time! We will definitely...
Read moreWent this past weekend with a group of friends. The parking lot was jammed packed! It was so packed that one would have thought that inside was standing room only!! After searching for a park for while roaming through the parking lot for literally 15 minutes. A friend that met us there had to park across the street in the lot of Don Julio’s. The inside did not appear crowded as the parking lot presented. Inside has lots of things to do from eating, drinking, bowling, karaoke, axe throwing, ping pong, arcade games, billiards. It is definitely a great place for a night out! After 10pm, it turns into a 21+ place which is awesome. We waited inside after being placed on a waitlist for one bowling lane for 1.5 hours. During that time, we ordered food and drinks and easily found a table to sit at to wait for our lane. Bowling is 35 dollars per hour, we reserved 2 hours. You pay for bowling after you finished with the waitstaff you have during your bowling who checks on you frequently during your bowling time for orders for food/drinks. The staff comes around to clear the tables frequently, keeping the place clean. The food was really good. My husband had a philly cheese and myself, chicken wings. I was disappointed to learn that all of the drinks listed online cannot be ordered at the bar. Apparently there is a separate bar upstairs that sells those. I never went upstairs to oblige. As for my drinks that I ordered at the bar, they tasted alright. The concern that I have is that they were pretty pricy and weak. I don’t mind paying for my drink, however, they shouldn’t be weak for 15 dollars a pop!! Nonetheless, I continuously gave the bartender a chance by ordering a variety to try. Needless to say, calories were wasted on the drinks I ordered. They definitely did not do the job!! I’m sure I will return because we had a good time bowling, however, I will make the travel upstairs next time to try the other drinks. Hopefully grace will be saved there, otherwise, I’ll keep it safe by ordering 7...
Read moreSo my spouse and I decided to check this place out since we live nearby and had never been. Got there around 8:30ish, walked around checking out the games, then sat in the dining area around 8:45.
The server took our drink order - and asked for my husband’s credit card to start a tab, which seemed a bit odd. Fairly quickly the server (not sure of her name but she was tall and blonde) brought out my spouse’s soda.
We sat there for about another 10 minutes and she came to take our food order. My drink still nowhere in sight. The server was delivering drinks to another large table, and the bartender seemed to just be hanging out talking to a coworker.
After about another 15 minutes (and after they suddenly cranked up the volume on the game and the music that was playing, I still did not have my drink, even after trying to wave down our server or another server twice. My husband’s soda was also not refilled.
I was starting to feel anxious and unwell with the combination of the clashing loud game and music, the fact that dirty ping pong balls from the nearby beer pong game kept flying at our table, and no attention at all from the server.
I told my husband I needed to leave, so he went to the bar to ask for his card back. The server brought it to our table and didn’t charge us for the soda, so that was one positive thing.
Overall, in a dining area that didn’t seem overly busy and with a server basically ignoring us, along with the chaotic loudness, it was an awful experience.
I likely wouldn't even have left a negative review if it hadn't been for the awful service from the server, or the fact that we were just basically ignored and had to track people down for any service.
If you a 20-something wanting to take selfies or play beer pong or throw an axe then it might not be bad. Going to have a bite to eat is a miserable experience, especially since it wasn't even that busy - the staff needs...
