A deep dive into Keke's Breakfast Cafe

Hadn't gone out to breakfast in Orlando, Keke's Breakfast Cafe sounded good, so off we went. The first thing you notice is it's a large building that can seat a lot of people, and it was busy. We were seated quickly and our server came soon after. We ordered coffee ☕and water, my wife also ordered a cranberry juice. (It was at least a 24oz juice. Huge.) Their coffee is great, a mellow dark roast with rich flavor. I ordered the pancake combo. It comes with pancakes (1 or 2) eggs or home fries and a choice of meat. (My wife got a waffle combo- same options as the pancake combo.) I got 2 Blueberrie pancakes, scrambled egg with cheese and bacon. Our server suggested getting a side of home fries to split with bacon and cheese. Omg- they were our favorite part of the breakfast. The pancakes are massive. I ate about a third and pushed back. Good pancakes- not mind blowing but good. If you are hungry you'll be happy. The eggs are real scrambled eggs- not prefab egg from a Sysco bag. That was nice. The bacon was crisp just the way I like it. Negatives- the waffle was cold. Somehow it must have sat to long. The syrup is pre-portioned in plastic- maybe because of covid. It was also cold, I prefer warm syrup. That's why the 4 stars instead of 5. The cost is really low for a city like Orlando. Great place at a great value. Our server was also friendly and helpful.

This was my first time visiting this place and I loved it. I was looking for some place that I could take my family for breakfast and came across KeKe’s Breakfast Cafe, and I have to say some of the reviews enticed me to come to this place. The waiter was friendly and very patient as it was our first time and answered all of our questions. We were a party of 6 and the wait from when we sat and to get our food was not long at all. The food was very good. I had the French toast with fruits on top and it was delicious. My children had pancakes and they mentioned that the pancakes were very fluffy and tasty. My wife had the omelette and mentioned to me that the egg was freshly made and wasn’t premade which is always a plus on my end. I tried the home fries as well and they were good but they do cook them with onions so if you don’t like onions be aware. The restrooms were decent. The restaurant was very spacious and they also have big enough booths for party of 6 people. I really enjoyed this place and would recommend. I will definitely be visiting again when I’m in Florida.

I will never be eating at this franchise again. I had went on August 12 with 3 of my friends, and one was running late. A hostess told us that we could not be seated until she came, which was fine, so we put in orders for our food to take it to-go instead because we had to be at school by 9:10am, seeing as it was our first day. The person who took our orders completely messed them up and one of our friends didn't even get food, despite them taking her payment. She was told to come after hours to get her refund that day. We took the food that we did have and left, leaving the food in the car because we did not have a chance to eat before class, as we left the location around 8:55am to see if they can get all of our things, but they could not. After our classes finished around noon, we went to eat our food, just to cut our waffles open and see hair and flies baked into it. We were absolutely disgusted and went back to the establishment for a refund. A manager took our name, the total amount for the food (we returned it all), and the last 4 digits of our card that we used for payment, but we were never issued a refund to this day. We even contacted the corporate office, but they did nothing to help us. I used to love coming here, but that is a mistake I will never make again.

I've eaten at the KeKe's Breakfast Cafe on Conroy Road before and had a very pleasant dining experience. I assumed the experience would be the same at this location. Unfortunately, it was not. The wait time was very short as we were seated immediately as we approached the hostess station. We were seated by the kitchen. We could hear profanity being used by some of the employees as they continued to joke around. The noises from the kitchen were pretty loud and it seemed like someone kept dropping dishes in the back. Our waiter wasn't really friendly, but he wasn't rude either. He didn't go over the menu or give any recommendations. He was frequently seen joking around with the other employees. I tried the French toast this time instead of ordering a Belgium waffle. There was a LOT of cinnamon on the French toast compared to the amount of powdered sugar that was on top. I didn't really like the French toast too much, but I ate it. I personally wouldn't order it again for myself, but someone else might like it. I don't feel like this location is a true reflection of the quality of service that is offered at other locations. I was definitely disappointed in the service and would not visit this particular location again.

This place is delicious and the service is great. The manager, Josh, answered my questions patiently, took my order and brought my food. Wow! If that’s not 5 star I don’t know what else is...oh yeah there’s the food. It was hard to take good pictures because everyone dug in immediately. My husband got the portabella poached egg with potatoes and devoured it (mind you he wanted IHop LOL). He loved it and couldn’t stop talking about it. Kids had fruit (VERY fresh), scrambled eggs (one had bacon) banana nut stuffed French toast, Belgian waffle and a blueberry pancake. They all LOVED it. We used the whipped cream for the fruit, yummm! I had a broccoli, spinach, bell pepper and onion omelette with cinnamon raisin toast and potatoes. Delish!!!! Not too cheesy, not too much eggs. We got ours to go due to the long wait (45 minutes on a Monday afternoon). Next time we are in town, we will for sure wait to enjoy the good service we witnessed and clean atmosphere!

This isn't my favorite place I've ever eaten but it's a solid spot with lots of options and great service. I got eggs florentine (eggs benedict w/ spinach) and you can tell the hollandaise sauce is jarred/canned, and the poached eggs are kind of molded as opposed to poached in water, but it all still tastes good. I didn't like the "home fries" much - they are more like scalloped potatoes than fried. I'm glad I got some fruit, though it seems there was some extra sugar on them. And I'm pretty sure at least some of the refills on my decaf coffee were caffeinated since I hardly slept at all last night... SO, while I take a little bit of issue with almost everything I was served (and it's loud) it's still better than fast food, IHOP/Denny's, or the protein shake I would have had at home. And the staff really hustles. Considering how hard it is to have and keep decent staff right now, that gets high marks in my book.
