Let me begin to say I'd been to this location before and was seriously disappointed by the quality of food and service. Not to mention the cleanliness. But it was lunch time and I was closeby at Lowes. So I figured I'd grab and go. The drive thru was full so I went inside. What got my attention first was the way people were being handled. Efficient, helpful, courteous. Not what I expected. Not from this place, especially during the lunchtime rush. When it was my turn in line a young cashier named Cat took my order for XXL Burrito and Nacho bell grande and a medium pepsi. She smiled the whole time. She was courteous and professional and friendly. The staff behind the counter all seemed to work towards the customer. When my order came it was brought from the back by yet another worker who was hurried yet took the time to smile at me as she passed the order over the counter. I decide to stay and eat there. I got my drink, took a table and sat and ate while I watched the people come and go at a pretty quick pace. The food was hot. The food was fresh. The food was good. This was not at all what I expected. Now this is about the time I noticed something else. This place was clean. I don't mean somewhat clean, I mean clean clean. No papers on the floor, no sticky mess around the drink machine, no trays or trash on the tables, tables seemed to be wiped down, everything was pretty much in its place and let me remind you this was right after the lunch rush. Now here's the kicker. I had just about finished my Pepsi when a young guy came from behind the counter and asked each and every one of the customers seated at tables if he could refill our drinks. This is worth repeating "He came from behind the counter, walked around the seating area and asked each one of us if he could refill our drinks". Look, I'm not one of those people easily impressed by anything. I believe in the old work theory If you do your job you get to keep it" but the change about in this place impressed me. I don't know if it's corporate or if new management has stepped in but someone needs to be acknowledged for this fine effort and success in changing this storefront around. Not an easy job, I'm sure, but impressive...
Read moreI normally don’t write reviews but after a year of coming here on and off this place deserves one. Ive waited half an hour for drive thru many many times here, that’s ridiculous for “fast food”. dine in can be very slow too, there have been lines of people up to the front door and you still only have one cashier taking orders. The weird thing is even though it’s very busy my food is always old unless I get Taco Bell. The chicken breast is dried out, the biscuits are hard, and the gravy on my mashed potatoes tastes burnt like it was left on the stove too long or over microwaved, I’ve only been served a fresh kfc meal twice in the year I went here and those two meals and eating Taco Bell from time to time are the reasons I stuck it out a year, I had hoped if I struck it fresh one time that it would happen again the next time, but nope. Ive went there at lunch and dinner times it wasn’t off hours or anything and the kfc was always old. Because of the fact this place is usually busy and employee organization is bad due to poor management or being understaffed (hence the long wait times to get your food), most of the time the tables and floors are dirty, garbage is overflown, and the soda machines are out of syrup for at least one flavor. Lastly, everytime I’ve dined in or gotten food to go inside I hear/see employees shouting, laughing loud, just basically goofing around behind the counter. its very unprofessional and it makes me feel uncomfortable eating food that these employees are preparing. I don’t go here anymore after consistently having bad experiences and finally decided to instead drive a bit further to the one on us 19 if I’m in the mood for kfc...
Read moreI give you a (3) star rating only because your order taker Benjamin was attentive, and listened to my order, and then read it back to me 100% correctly. As for the food, both Taco and KFC just ok. Not great. Just ok. But I want to specifically talk to you about the (potato soft taco). Once again. This certain item was a disappointment! Case in point. 1. The potatoes were either deep fried way to long? Or they sat under the warming unit way to long? I am sure there are unit standards, along with cook times, or hold times in place for these, along with your other food items you offer. These potatoes inside the soft taco shell were so hard. That you could not even break them apart using your fingers. So once again. Those went straight to the garbage can! Also, I have a question about your actual nacho chips used at this specific location. For some reason? I find the taste of these nacho chips way different then other locations I have been to in the area. They seem very bland. And the texture and the very look of these seem to be significantly different then the other store locations. They seem like they are a low-grade/generic nacho chip. Now I am not sure just who this revuew may reach there? Store Mgr., team lead, supervisor, district supervisor, or even corporate? Speaking of corporate. I am not sure if this particular location in review is a corporate level store, or a franchisee? But. If you can? Please check into these issues ASAP! Yes I will be back here at some point in time, for a food follow-up. And I would like not to be dissapointed at this...
