Khobkhun Thai & Sushi — Restaurant in Florida

Thai is my favorite food. I've eaten Thai in several states from CA to FL. Khobkhun is in my top 3 Thai restaurants! Everything I've had has been very high quality and well prepared. It's very hard to find Tom Kha Gai (see soup photo) that lives up to my expectation and Khobkhun's is among the very best I have found, possibly tied for the number one spot! Their Drunken Noodle also deserves high praise (see entree photo). Even their house salad has a nice freshly made carrot-ginger dressing. A good Thai iced tea isn't as hard to find, and is worth getting here for a sweet creamy drink. on other visits I also tried avocado egg rolls, which was tasty and nice to see unique items as well as standard Thai dishes. The panang curry has a very good flavor but wasn't as creamy as I prefer. I'll have to see if they have Choo Chee Salmon next time. We have eaten here three times First time ordered take out meals were missing, the portions were very small They did rectify out by giving us a credit. We tried 2nd time. Same issues. This time we ate in the restaurant, portions were good, food was good, service was horrible, didn't get my salad, they didn't come by to see if everything was okay, we asked for two more drinks, he forgot to bring them. I had to get his attention and ask for the drinks, we told them we would be ordering a take out order , if he had come to our table sooner we wouldn't have had to wait another 25 minutes. khobkhun has some really good sushi rolls and should not be overlooked when it comes to sushi

the thai food itself is just okay, there are better options in vero or sebastian for actual thai food (mai thai bistro being one of them)

but when it comes to sushi, khob khun might have it for now

the other sushi spots we have tried in the area are pretty whatever but khob khun has a huge selection and some very talented sushi chefs
