Absolutely Fantastic Experience!

I recently visited La Antioqueña and was blown away by the entire experience. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, with authentic Cuban decor that made me feel like I had stepped into Havana.

The food? Out of this world! I tried the chicken, potato empanadas and cheese bread, and it was tender, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. The Cuban sandwich was crispy and loaded with delicious layers of pork, ham, cheese, and onions, tomatoes, lettuce.

But the pastries? Absolutely next level! The pastries were savory, buttery, and packed with just the right amount of sweetness and tang. Their empanadas had a golden, crispy crust with generous, flavorful fillings. And the sweet potatoes pudding cake was the best I’ve ever had—moist, creamy, and just the right amount of sweetness.

Pairing the pastries with a cup of their Cuban cafe con leche was the perfect finish to an amazing meal. The service was friendly and attentive, making the experience even better.

If you’re craving authentic Cuban cuisine with a welcoming vibe and top-notch service, La Antioqueña is the place to go. I’ll definitely...

We have been going here for a few years now. The customer service is amazing. The owner makes you feel like you are family. During the hurricane everything was closed except for this place. The staff was cooking in there with no AC or fans just to keep the ovens running and serve the community. On a regular day the pandebono is the best I've ever had. The empanadas are amazing and the sauce they make in house is something I could drink out of a cup,.it's so fresh and delicious. Anytime they suggest anything I try it and I love it. I would give this place 10 Stars if I could. Please try...

A day following the hurricane Ian, this was one of the only restaurants open but I was so happy because I was hoping to get a Cuban breakfast sandwich. I commend the people working here for working so fast and the sandwich was delicious. This was my first visit but I will definitely be a regular here now…

Some people in the reviews don’t like that they don’t speak English as their first language but I ordered but my food in English, I was understood perfectly well, and I learned how to order in Spanish as well. People need to be more open to accepting the cultures and...

My very limited experience was great. This is a South American panaderia (bakery) on Waters avenue. It does not look like much but there is a line when you come in and the items I bought were delicious! Not sure what country, I am familiar with P. Rican and Cuban but this is different. If everything else is as good as what I got, then it's well worth the visit. The loaf of cheesebread was amazing. Crunchy cheese on the outside, the center has cheese as well and the bread was so soft and tasty. Even better with butter! I also got the wife a cheese and guava pastry that she loved.

Not only that fact that not one person working there speaks English… in America (Being a Spaniard American myself) but their “Cuban” Sandwich is pulled pork lettuce tomato cheese!! No ham no salami … waste of $7.00. I guess they misunderstood when I ordered a “Cuban all the way” I’ve never gotten a Cuban with only pulled pork no other meat. Hell even Publix knows what goes on a Cuban, this places considers themselves a Spanish restaurant?? What a joke.

Excellent Cuban toast. It is difficult to be understood when you order if you do not speak Spanish. You order and pick up at the register. Given the small, crowded space it is difficult to hear that your order is ready. It is worth it to me as a non Spanish speaker to go here to support a small, local business and for their excellent hot food items.
