La Casa Mexicana — Restaurant in Florida

Will not go into a discussion/opinion...just going to lay out the facts..... Decided to go here based on Google ratings.... Went in on a Wednesday just after dark maybe 7:00 or 7:30..... Pulled in the parking lot...four or five cars were there and we had a very difficult time parking the car.. no available spaces that were not cramped very tight very small.... No lights... Went inside and immediately saw no upgrades on the interior for many many years.... Uncomfortable seats tight quarters.... Atmosphere was less than desirable.... Maybe eight or nine people was in the entire restaurant... Took at least 10 minutes maybe better for the waitress to come and wait on us.... The waitress stood back from the table at least four to six feet and would not approach the table to answer questions.... Not wearing a mask but almost like she was still in covid mode.... In one sentence she would be nice and in the next sentence she was quite condescending...... We ordered drinks... Diet Coke... And pondered the menu...Wow!.... Prices are way too high!

In the meantime the other non-english speaking lady that was busing tables brought us chips and salsa... And I might say a very meager portion... Before the food was brought out we asked for another portion of chips and salsa... Very meager again..... While we were eating I asked for another portion of chips... The English speaking lady told me there would be a $2 up charge if I chose to get more... I've been a lot of places and never encountered that line! One of my pet peeves is once I sit down and get my food, come and check on me from time to time and see if I need anything... Not here.... Not even eye contact... I had to get up from my table two times and ask for something..... We eat out almost evening and have a very good feel as to what the prices and portions are in restaurants from Tampa to Hudson..... For the atmosphere you get... The attention/non-attention you get.... The parking and lot lights that you do not have... And senseless up charges....

Go someplace else....

Since we had to pay very high prices for the food we expected a large plate of food.... Not so... I would say just moderate or less.....

Nevertheless I had no complaints about the taste of the food it was good....

Well Ordered enchiladas an burito Mexican combo. Recieved tamales an toatadas Casa Mexican combo. When I called they asked to bring back food cuz they couldnt believe they got it wrong and a manager wanted to see it. And yes we ate some cuz we were starving an didn't realize it was wrong right away until I was half through the nasty still frozen tamale an noticed it and my husband already devoured his even though it was wrong an he even said it was gross whole time we were eating also. When I got there The server argued with me in person that I ate too much to replace. She said i should be full. I said really cuz I didn't know that eating some it made them not in the wrong. No matter what they couldn't do anything with the food weather we ate any or not! It was going in the trash........ unless they were gonna try to serve to someone else.!!!!!! having the wrong order was my mistake I should've noticed sooner. Not one apology for any of it. Also Kids fries were freezer burned and food was cold an I live 3 mins from store. Do not recommend this place for Mexican food for take out or eat in. I did get one replacement meal and just had some an still was displeased no flavor at all. Overall whole experience and situation was terrible. No stars. If u want Mexican go to racetrack gas station before you try this place. 2nd photo was wrong food 1st photo is replacement. I new something was kinda fishy with this place when they said food would b ready in 10 mins when I ordered. Don't trust...

This used to be my favorite place to come I tried to give them a chance one more time today to get some professionalism and they clearly won’t. I used to call to order takeout only ate once in the actual restaurant for months I had no issue with calling for takeout staff was wonderful and friendly. All of a sudden last year they started to not answer their phone and close their doors without notice to the public sometimes I’d call and they would answer, sometimes not and a sign would be placed say they were closed.

So last year I tried and tried to call on four separate instances as well as this month to place the order I always place I drove by one day sign says closed yet again, I go back a week later to try again nobody’s answering the phone, then I go back again to call three separate times NO ANSWER! This is not how you run a business or treat frequent customers i have given your business so much money.

You have a Facebook page that you never use to notify customers of closer, you have people that come in your parking lot ready to order and you are completely shut down, this is ridiculous and a shame you need to get some professionalism if your gonna run a business for the public or don’t serve takeout. Currently Im driving to a different Mexican restaurant BECAUSE SHOCKER THERES A SIGN ON THE DOOR SAYING YOUR CLOSED! Now I’ll just give my money to the other place what a shame for such a great business that’s run by completely...
