The food is always good. The counter help is terrible. Very rude not welcoming and during these times when restaurants are struggling you would think they would appreciate the business. Apparently they do not. I have been eating there for years but after today's experience I will never eat there again. Good food does not make up for rude people. When I called my order in and asked if I could pay over the phone and somebody pick it up all I got was a NO with no explanation. Which is fine if that's their policy but wasn't told that if it is. Just NO. Then when my wife stopped in to pick up the food the man behind the counter im assuming he was the one I talked to on the phone stood there for a while and didn't even acknowledge she was there. A bell on the door rings when opening it so he wasn't surprised she was there. Finally he turned around to her and said what do you want. Again the best food in the world does not make up for rude and inconsiderate people. I will take my hard earned money and business elsewhere from now on. I'm sure another restaurant will appreciate it especially now.
Update. I appreciate the response. But after speaking with multiple friends about my experience today they confirm that they are experiencing the same at this restaurant. Change doesn't happen on it's own and I just read many reviews that where very similar to my experience. I hope it gets better but will not expose myself to a terrible...
Read moreI don’t understand what all the rave is about. I ordered two cheesesteak supreme — one 10” and one 8” — and two fountain sodas and it was almost $20 with a coupon for a FREE 8” cheesesteak. The subs were small NOT super-size as advertised and the taste was just OK. The cheese and toppings were very sparse, so sparse that I thought they actually forgot to add them — nothing at all like the photos on their very misleading advertising. And the bread was kind of mushy. I think that’s ultimately what really ruined the subs for me. You need really good bread for a sub! The steaks themselves were good but doesn’t look like as much meat as in photos I’ve seen customers post. I understand they have new owners so I guess that they’ve “lowered the bar” on what used to be called the best cheesesteak in town. How sad! I am from the Philly area and this is not what I know to be a Philly Cheesesteak. Service was fine — the ladies were working their butts off and still managed to be polite. But I won’t be back, sorry. I am glad other people like this place, though, because we need to keep the Mom and Pop shops going. It was very busy when I went there. As much as I like to support Mom and Pop shops over corporations, Publix just makes a much better sub and at a lesser price to boot (although their cheesesteaks is awful — it’s...
Read moreThis place used to be great but ever since the pandemic it is awful. The people who work there are terrible, no customer service, talk loudly about how much they dislike each other, orders are incorrect and they do not care. They were closing gave us 2 wrong sandwiches when we called back to get money back they said they can't do that, then my husband ask them to remake they said no because they were closed we could come back tomorrow, my husband said no we need dinner tonight they finally remade sandwiches then asked if we brought back wrong ones (after we had them had home) when my husband said no we threw them away, the girl working there said my boss is going to be mad. When we got home they still gave us a wrong sandwich. Seriously we go back because you messed up and you mess up again. The prices are outrageous too for always being wrong. Well you should be upset that your customers are upset. We will never go back. And they need to clean up the place outside and inside. I could over look when food was good but now not so much. Sanford location has been terrible for years I guess OC...
