āDisgusting and Bizarreā On arriving I noted the building could use a good pressure washing and a fresh coat of paint. The parking lot appeared unkept and the concrete patio (former outdoor dining area) unattractive, and a potential safety hazard. Upon entering the restaurant I was overwhelmed by the smell of grease. I know some viewers may say this is because most menu items are fried but I feel a larger exhaust system would improve the air quality. After ordering my 2000 plus calorie dinner, I proceeded to the dining room where the stench from what smelled like bathroom cleaner took my breath and the sticky floor killed my appetite (it smelled like a gas station bathroom). The decorations, toy car, motorcycle, army tank and what appears to be a low budget veterans memorial combined with church choir music seemed odd and depressing. It made me wonder if the restaurant owner may have lost a son or daughter serving in the military. Never the less, I felt depressed and it totally ruined my dining experience. I will āNEVERā go back and doubt I will visit another LJS franchise after this experience. (BTW, Iām not against veteran displays or religious music but feel a restaurant dining room may not be ideal place for the display). No š...

The drive thru had three cars ahead of me on this Friday evening. But within a short time I was ordering. The cars ahead of me got their food and in a very short time my #10 was ready. This was the fastest Long John Silver's drive thru I experienced. The LJS employee had a great personality! She was a super representative of the quality and great service of LJS. Fast food fish and shrimp -- nothing is better that this LJS.
UPDATE JULY 26, 2019
As I walked to my table after ordering my favorite, #10 with six extra shrimp, a man was just leaving after finishing eating with a woman I assume is his wife. As we passed he stopped and told me a cute joke about the restaurant. Where else will that happen? It's that kinda place - - even the other customers treat you like family.
Food and service was great.
ORIGINAL REVIEW FEBRUARY 2019
Good food and service. Great staff. Has a local feel, like family. You will often hear friendly conversations between the customers. Have been coming here for over 20 years. I always get Number 1, fish and shrimp, with extra shrimp. Never a problem with the order or quality. I like to get extra tasty coleslaw. I especially like the tribute...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreToday's experience was one I won't soon forget. It's been about a year since dining at Long John Silver's in Brandon, FL. But as soon as I walked in,, I knew everything was going to be excellent. I was greeted at the door, asked how I could be helped, and was advised of your complete new menu options. As I began to order, I observed a familiar and friendly face, which was John the manager. John's both hardworking and consistently considerate. He does a phenomialy great job with good food and great service. He is honestly one of the most humble and kind hearted men I've ever had the pleasure of crossing paths with. His character is genuine across the board as he serves his customers. This is something that is very rare to encounter in these current times, and yet nevertheless, this establishment is truly a diamond in the rough. I would recommend this location to anyone who asks for a good place to eat. In closing, hats off to the people, mentors, and training staff behind John and his superb staff. Very wise investment...
