I popped in to check out Louis Pappas Fresh Greek in Citrus Park.
The staff greets you friendly when you walk in and allows you time to review the menu. Pay the cashier once you order, and food will be brought to your table. Not sure if they have wait service during the evening, but with how quickly the food is prepared, you don’t miss it.
Service was less than 5 minutes. I went to the bathroom to wash my hands and came out and my salad was on the table, minutes later my food and the timelines were about the same for all customers as well as those with carryout orders, very quick!
The Souvlaki was loaded with chicken, white onions, and tomato, you could slice this and it can easily feed two, so if you are on a budget, this is a good option. The pita was pillow soft, yet nicely toasted and delicious. To make this a full meal add a Cafe Salad, while I prefer a slab of feta and lots of olives, this salad is full of vegetables and filling.
While I would stop in and eat lunch again at Louis Pappas Fresh Greek, the cleanliness of the tables and chairs caused me to be unnerved. They seemed a bit sticky, in need of a good wipe down, and I saw crumbs on empty tables. But, the bathroom and the restaurant as a whole smelled and seemed clean.
Make sure you discard the dishes on your table and any food in the drop near the side door, additional containers for leftovers are located in the back, help yourself....
Read moreSmall Small Gyros, If you are expecting a normal size like the ones you get at every other greek place you may go, think again. Every Gyro I have ever had, I have been unable to close the pita bread around it as it is so full of Gyro meat that you can't close it if you try and you have to remove some meat out just to get your mouth around it. Theirs are SMALL barley any meat in it and instead of the meat being in strips when they cut it off the wheel, it was in chunks. I got a wrap at McDonalds that was twice the size. I asked the young man who helped me if this was the normal size, this tiny Gyro, he said there pretty big right? I told him these were tiny and for $7.00 a rip off. I let him know that gyro's are big and that these barley have any meat in them, he said that the owner said at one point they were putting to much meat in them so they had to put less. I guess the owner won that battle. It was barley bigger that a soft taco wrapped up from taco bell. The Salad and Potato salad was good though, Just stop putting Green peppers in a greek salad. I'm from Tarpon Springs , FL. I know greek food. Just don't expect a regular size Gyro here. Also the gyro was very salty for some reason. Not good. If the owner reads this and I hope he does, Go to The Hungry Greek right around the corner from you on Race track Rd and order a Gyro, then mimic that. Twice the food, less price and not salty. Read moreThe manager on duty today was rude When I ordered 1/2sandwich I asked for a side of Greek salad. Didn’t want the small as it would of been way to much. After I received my food I looked at salad and notice no potato salad so asked cashier and she got the manager. I explained what I ordered wasn’t what I got and asked for a small scoop of potato salad. He said that would be $4.35 I explain I didn’t get what I ordered and so he said “you want something for free?” I said what I ordered wasn’t what I got and yes I do expect it to be made right without a charge since it wasn’t what I ordered. He said I had to pay for the potato salad as the side salad doesn’t come with it. I then said the lady that took my order should of told me it isn’t a Greek salad it is a regular side salad. No customer service at all. So as I do love their Greek salads. I will not be back. They have lost my office as a customer now and our parties we will no longer be ordering from...
