Great location, ambiance etc. Went with family and friends after church and there was about 7 of us. It took a while for drink order but they were busy so no worries, just wanted coffee anyway. when the waiter took our orders, the food showed up in a not timely fashion with the owner delivering the first two plates. Two down, five to go. We waited and the waiter finally came over and said that there was some mix up and the 5 other dishes were never made. Truth be told, the company was good, we were talking and having fun so we were not stressing other than my dad and I having to eat cold food because we wanted to wait for the others to get their food. My brother was told the pancakes he wanted were made incorrectly and he did not have to eat them if he did not desire but he agreed to take them and was told he would have the correct ones in a to go box for the road. When we left, there were no " correct" pancakes and the owner, who certainly knew of the errors had a perfect chance to make things better and unfortunately decided to gamble and let the attitude of the customer determine her response. Since I was cordial, she and the waiter obviously felt they did not have to rectify anything and as a result, will have to replace customers. It would have been so easy to admit guilt and say, " hey because of the wait, because of the wrong food, because some were fed and others had to wait 10 minutes or so longer, because we didn't give you the extra pancakes we promised, let us take 25% off the check or something like that but that did not happen. Our good nature was taken advantage of and as a result, probably...
Read moreMediocre breakfast. Cooked well & served fast. Menu isn't the best, it has some unique items though. Mexican inspired dishes & classic dishes! Hollandaise Sauce is not made from scratch (Its a Pre-Made Mix or Powder)I asked! The decor is cool, like a 1950's style diner theme! They did have a very good Rye Bread, very delicious & I would love to visit again & have a well made Reuben Sandwich which they serve for lunchtime. This first review is for breakfast. It was not the best breakfast, I did leave full & that counts for something. That was the reason I went, hunger was bountiful & disappeared upon my departure from Lulu B's Diner. We will return for Lunch one day. I will leave another review at that time. Give it a try, this is just my opinion 😉 Not in anyway tearing down a local business, in fact I have knowledge from a man that used to work here, he told me it was a great place to work & the owner treated him very well, paid on time & early. With Covid they paid him for the time he was off from work! She was a stand up employer from what I've been told. That is great & they deserve support. My review is on the breakfast!!! I do however commend lulu B's Diner though for...
Read moreI was not impressed. The food was not bad but not great. The bacon was just thin ordinary bacon you buy at a grocery store, which I asked for soft and came crispy, they remade it but if I didn't even right away and it would have got hard as well. My parents got tuna sandwiches which came with chips. So like most elderly people they don't want chips. Any substitutions was an upcharge. I think for the prices they had plenty of room to be able to serve something else instead of chips without an upcharge. And the most frustrating thing about being here cuz that I had to wheel my elderly mother in wheelchair and the guy behind the counter (all tated up) just stood there the whole time and didn't even help to open the door while we were coming in or while we were leaving. His job was just to man the counter and that's all he was going to do. Even acknowledge us at the table from the counter as I was trying to move a chair out and didn't even get the chair out of the way. If the busboy hadn't come to take it away it would have just sat in the middle of the aisle. The restrooms are clean though. I don't really recommend nor am i going back...
