TLDR: Top 5 best vegan pizzas in the state of Florida served by staff who truly care, which is rare in this climate. Atmosphere: not much to talk about as it is a traditional, hole-in-the-wall pizza joint that feels like you're back in NYC. Service: actually nice people... I don't know how to say it any better. In a post-COVID world where so many restaurants treat you as a burden to serve you, every single staff member we interacted with was kind, attentive, and proactively making sure we knew every vegan option was good. It wasn't fake nice. It was pride in their product and a joy to be there. Food: we tried the vegan pepperoni rolls, special crown pizza, smore logs, and tiramisu squares. The pepperoni rolls really brought me back to my childhood snacking at grandmas house. A fantastic snack I would return for alone. The crown pizza was their special that had garlic knots ringing around the crust. This is a bread lover's garlicky moist dream. Having ordered so much for two people though, while we loved the bready experience, we would just get regular crust next time. The smore logs were piping hot with homemade vegan hazelnut chocolate and wow... I'm gaining another two pounds just thinking about it, it was delicious. The tiramisu tasted like the cake. However, do be aware that it is structured more like a cheesecake or thinner fudge than the traditional dessert. Overall, we are 100% going back and it was worth the 30 minute drive from home. Weirdly, the food was even more delicious the second day. Don't know how that is possible. Our only recommendations on the food would be a touch more salt in the sauce and don't be afraid of the garlic levels. Let's keep those vampires away!

Lost a long-time customer! I'm not sure if they changed owners or personnel, but I won't be returning. I've been a customer since about 2022 and fell in love with the Buffalo Chicken rolls because of the homemade buffalo ranch sauce, and the mom/pop-feel I miss from NYC. Part of the experience was calling and them knowing my order, etc. I still visit and order, even though I live REAL far now, but today, I come 30mins out, don't crack open the rolls until I'm almost home, and there is MARINARA *instead* of Buffalo Ranch, which renders this WHOLE trip for nothing. No accountability, no consideration for my troubles or how pointless this dry bread is now. I can't eat marinara, so it's a waste of money and time and gas. the manager (via a server) said someone put the wrong sauce, nothing they can do besides note under my phone number to remember the right sauce. What? I will not be returning or bringing them business from others anymore. The whole point of a mom/pop store and supporting a small business is the community/ humanity feel. And if they don't care that I was completely inconvenienced by a mistake they made, then it's not the place I glorified it to be.

We rely heavily on reviews when traveling and Mario's has been on our list for quite some time. Vegan food is not the easiest to find. It can also be over priced and disappointing. If you know, you know. This is not that. We got the Vegan Buffalo Chickon, Vegan Girlfriend (half Stromboli w 3 toppings, garlic knots as a divider, half specialty or 3 toppings), Vegan chickon Alfredo to-go, and 1 Vegan meatball. Way more food than we needed, but we're planning ahead. 😁 The Vegan cheese was actually melted! Crust was well cooked, not overly done or too doughy. They make a good vegan ranch in house and I'm guessing the Marinara as well because it actually had flavor. The food was ready before we thought it would be. 👌 Just do it. You won't be disappointed. Little s/n because I feel some of you may need a heads up...don't expect smiles or upbeat personas. This is not that place. But Jose is still cool.

I called today (05/10/2022, time: 11:12am) just to confirm if they deliver to our area cause (13 minutes away ) and My Mom wanted me to make sure. I called and one of the managers there was extremely rude right from beginning answering, I politely let them know I wanted to see if deliver to our area. And they immediately said their driver called in sick ( so apparently only have one driver, I guess, considering from that statement) I said ok. Then they said with N annoyed tone that they can see if deliver to our area what's the address. Therefore, while I was telling the address they kept interrupting me and despite their rudeness I still stayed calm while they interrupted me asking what street we are on (When I already told them ). So after finishing saying the zip code, I said it again. Then, they said rudely " No, what street are you off of "and started naming different streets curtly. So, Still polite I asked my Mom (since it's her house etc) what street they are off of. Literally in the middle of my mom telling me the name the guy interrupted her and said we don't deliver there ( not even hearing street name) so I said wait the street is lake... They hung up me. Terrible customer service. I can understand if having rough day especially if irritated at a driver calling out ( which I would hope that is the reason for rudeness and or something else or maybe that's how they are in general). Either way, please be professional you are speaking to a customer and lost a customer due to poor customer service. The attitude was uncalled for and unwarranted. The interrupting while talking was rude and hanging up before conversation done was immature. They are 13 minutes up street and due to this poor customer service I won't even waste my gas to drive there. Nor put money into such carelessness. It's more than just food. Learn to treat people with respect. That is part of customer service. (Mom and I ended up ordering from another pizza place which had good customer service nice Customer service, their delivery drivers are there and good food).

I forgive Mario's Pizza for their bad customer service; however, I am one that will call it out cause if not how will it be fixed if hasn't been fixed already if one complain directly to them before. Learn, grow, and...

Updating an earlier review because the bait and switch tactics of this place have gotten much worse. I complained in my first review about being charged more than the advertised price for wings. Now it's gotten to the point where you can't trust any version of their menu or advertising to know what the prices and offers are. Something can be listed on their printed menus, on their website, and on the the screen billboard behind them, and still be told that they're not doing that price. I learned this the hard way today when I went in for lunch and was told they were no longer doing lunch offers. That is in spite of the lunches still being listed on all three menus. When asked why they weren't doing lunch, all I got was a shrug from the very lethargic employee. I was also told there was no daily special in spite of, once again, one being listed on each of their menus. Add this to all the deception in their advertising (such as the side of their building still advertising a two slices and drink deal two dollars cheaper than the actual current price) and it just seems like the whole strategy is to bait people inside and then hope people will be committed to buying from them even after not being able to get the price they came in for.

The food is alright depending on what you get. When you get a full pie it's usually pretty good, but if you get just slices individually they are sometimes burnt around the edges to an unpleasant extent. But even when it's good, it has all become very overpriced. The pizza here is better than your typical fast service pizza, but they've increased their prices so much over this past year that they're competing in price with the most premium pizza places around, and in that category they don't hold up. Same is true for other items on their menu, they are all somewhat better than fast food or casual takeout alternatives, but priced at such a premium you might as well go just go to a nicer place.

I have to recommend everyone avoid this place unless you are itching to play your Vegas odds on what your food is actually going to cost, accepting that it will be way overpriced for what...

Ordered a calzone a Stromboli and wings and arrived much earlier than quoted.

Delivery straight from the website I didn't answer the door and don't know at this moment if an employee or outsourced dasher or the like delivered. I hope a store employee but doubt it in this day.

Food took about an hour but was hot and tasted fresh. Stromboli order was pleased all around.

Myself having thr canzone feeling adventurous as I typically am not a fan of ricotta cheese found it to be one of the best I've had in town! I ordered pep, italian sausage, onion. Spinach. Everything went really well and the grease soaked into the inner bread beautifully while thr exterior held its texture and crisp Ness nicely.

The star of the show for me was the onion I've never had such good onion on any pizza like option, it wasn't cooked down it held an al dense texture but had a almost caramelized flavor.

The peperoni was par in a canzone it's always going to be the same I think as cheese in these will over power then if they aren't allowed to cook directly, I would love for some place to try par cooking some pep and onion with maybe mushroom in a pan before adding to a canzone or stromboli....

The italian sausage is the only reason for the loss of a star. Bland and no spice, tasted and looked like terrible breakfast sausage. I honestly picked it out and gave it to the dog.

Aside from the italian sausage everything was very very good!

I am very hopeful they pay attention to order instructions as I forgot to request but won't next time that the wings I order are wet. I wish they had a bit more sauce were had enough without special request and for being oven? Cooked I was very surprised at the quality and texture of the wings.

So hats off the everyone at marios...
