I went through the drive through this evening and ordered a cheeseburger meal plain with a sweet tea and a medium iced caramel macchiato. I get to the window and the cashier tells me that they don’t have the iced caramel macchiato because the machine is down and asks me if I want something else, I said a coke was fine. She tells me the price is $12.29 to which I hand her my debit card. As she’s processing the payment I hear her tell the girl next to her that she accidentally forgot to take the macchiato off, and I hear the other girl say, it’s fine just give her the food. The young cashier says nothing about the mistake to me and hands me my debit card (no receipt) and my food. I then asked if I was changed for the macchiato or the coke. She tells me I was changed for the macchiato. I asked what the price difference was between the 2 and it’s almost $2.00. I asked to have the difference refunded to me. She says she can give me another Coke, but can’t refund me what I was overcharged. I again ask for the refund, she get another associate who also offers me another Coke, she then asks the manager who also refuses to correct the issue and give me my refund. The $2.00 isn’t a big deal and is unimportant. The big deal is that the mistake was made and had I not asked if I was changed wrong, they would have just taken my money and let me drive off. And then they didn’t even attempt to correct the problem. Terrible customer service, deceptive staff and I have never known a business to steal from its customers. Wouldn’t matter if it was $2.00 or $200, charging a customer for a product that they didn’t receive and then keeping the money for that product is theft in my book. Read moreBelieve all the reviews about this place except the Google users. It's obvious that they are employees there because this place really does suck. My wife and I ordered chicken sandwich combo there once and after waiting for 30 mins at the window my order finally came. The food was very old! The bread was hard on both sandwiches which tells me that they didn't even care enough to give me a quality sand which. The chicken was very hard as well which tells me that it's old too. The only thing that was just ok was the fries. After filing a complaint with McDonald's they did give my complaint to the restaurant manager and she did want to make it up by giving me two meals to replace the last. Unfortunately it seems when I came to redeem the offer they moved her and replaced her with a new manager, one that doesn't know that I am deserving of 2 new meals. It wasn't after I told the new manager the old managers name that she reluctantly gave me the two chicken sandwiches, and not the meal as I was promised. So after all that the McDonald's at this location still does not care for customer service. They probably think that since they are the closets one around that ppl will just suck it up. Well there is one in Hobe Sound on US-1 which is 1000 times better than this one which would bring it to average so if I where you don't go here. At least for the sheer reason to boycott this... I just left there approximately an hour ago. When I got to the clerk in the window ( very small Asian women) I started to ask who I could talk to about the double charge to my bank the last time we were here! $10.63?
Before I could get that question out of my mouth she started in on: "I don't care about your problems, Don't talk to me about it! I don't care. She handed me my $0.10 change and rudely closed the window in my face with full intent of making her point valid! She didn't care. She first muttered something about only being an employee and take it to the next window! Slam!!! Which we did!
Jared was very apologetic about the situation and wished us to return, but it's a little to late for me! He assured us that he would speak to her. I trusted that he would, but doubt that any action will be taken for such belligerence to a customer. It's ashamed! Good bye! I will talk about this as often as I can.
