Visited recently, they proudly ask for reviews—since they asked:
They claim to be a Twistee Treat, but refused to accept a Twistee Treat gift card. Then charged a 3% "convenience fee" when I had to pay by card, after my Twistee Treat gift card was refused ... by this so-called Twistee Treat store.
That said, the treat ordered was fine, on-par with the same one from the other Twistee Treats.
This location does charge a little bit more than all others we've been to so far, FYI. What is normally about 5.50 at the 12 or so other stores we've hit, was a little over $6. Not unreasonable, just sharing as an FYI to prospective customers.
Another FYI, no drive-through at this one, nor indoor seating. The only things I find unreasonable really are Calling yourself a Twistee Treat and refusing a Twistee Treat gift card. Charging a 'convenience fee', (is that even legal). It sure is CONVENIENT for someone after they turned down my preferred method payment, isn't it? But not the person paying the fee. 🤔
**They're not honest or up-front about this fee. I was told that my total was 6.02. I was told that I needed to authorize a payment of $6.02, however $6.20 was taken. (Employee snatched my card from my hand and swiped / authorized it on the POS herself, so no, I wasn't told about the additional 18¢. And to be clear, it's not the 18¢, -it's the principle of someone else authorizing something with my card, -as well as the principle of the 'convenience fee' that I wasn't informed about, -and the illegality of telling me one total and charging me another.
*Management's way of dealing with this was: -to reply very condescendingly, and claiming that me, wanting to use a Twistee Treat gift card at a Twistee Treat is unreasonable because they're "different businesses" or some such.
Also claimed they offer "2-dollar ice cream cones" which they do not.
Screenshots included of course, draw your own conclusions. Personally, I recommend just visiting another store, as Twistee Treat corporate does have standards that other locations do...

Read moreI've been coming here for a few years. I realize they have kids working here and its not skilled labor. However, I was there at 925PM. the night before last on Thursday. There were a couple or workers in uniform shirts in the parking lot. I asked if they were still open as the Open sign was off. They told me yes it was still open. I went to the window and the girl told me she was closed. The employees in the parking lot started laughing and one said to the other "it's not even 930pm and she closed and wouldn't serve him" They laughed and I drove off.
Closing early is something that happens often. This wasn't the first time I've experienced this. But as a business owner myself. I think you need to know. Your losing money because of poor management and supervision.
Besides closing early. There's employees that don't pay attention to customers ordering and make the wrong items. Last week I was there and there was at least a dozen people waiting for there orders. Several people were getting annoyed and complained they were there at least 20 minutes. One guy told me he was there 20 minutes before I got there and I got my order and he was still waiting. Someone made the wrong orders and had to remake them. Plus they threw away the wrong items they made. I've seen that happen quite a few times over...
