For the most part, a good McDonald's.
There's usually one or two energetic Black managerial-type women rallying the employees with big smiles and commands of encouragement. They're very likeable and you can tell the employees respect them. Must be the reason the employees, mostly teens in high school or just out, do a good job tending to their tasks.
For a group of teens that may or may not wish they were doing something else, they work well together taking orders quickly, making the food to go with the order and getting it out the door in a timely manner. The employees look respectable and are very courteous. I have never seen an employee standing around doing nothing and they're eager to ask if someone needs help. Hey, in this day and age let's just give the teens kudos for being willing to work.
The service moves quickly along at non-prime hours. During prime time hours you may wait 5-15 min. This McDonald's has one of those smart, ordering kiosks that I imagine make the ordering process more efficient. But this isn't Silicone Valley, it's East Lakeland. The kiosk is more of an obstacle rather than a convenience as East Lakelanders jockey for position in free form, chaotic ordering lines upon entering this McDonalds. It's not the most techy savvy city. Actually, it pays far behind most. Which beings me to a minor point of contention: The outlets for guest house for their devices are blocked. No access for the guests.
If should want to sit at this McDonald's, use their free internet to catch up for a bit and check emails, you better be fully charged as this locations no-loitering policy is heavily enforced with steps taken to discourage lengthy stays. In this part of town, I get it. I've seen the same people over and over on my visits. But, it's a safe place with police and sheriff not too far away at ant given moment.
One last mention. Food quality. It's hit or miss. For the most part good, but just check your order before you leave the counter. My main issue was a few times I have gotten food that was obviously left under the warmer too long. They're quick about replacing it, it's just a hassle!
Other than that, if youre in the area, stop in and eat at this clean, courteous location. No kids play area. It's convenient. It's...
Read moreEvery time We order from here it is not what we ordered... I'm a business owner right down the street from this store and order from here more then wanted but it is the closes thing to us.. Every time we go it seems to be more managers and still no training... I personally have worked at a manager for a MC Donald for 8 years. Today I went threw drive thru and ordered 2 meals, big mac and grilled artisan... No where on the board did it say they changed the artisan or nor did the order taker.. So they did not inform us that there would be mayonnaise on the sandwich and not the artisan sauce. before I even knew about the sandwich I already had to go in because they lied to us at the final window and said they where out of Dr. Pepper and I came in to get a refund on the drink for them to tell me that did have Dr. Pepper in the lobby.. Then I left went all the way to my place of business to find mayonnaise on the sandwich. Yes our orders are special orders here and there because we have allergies and got to make sure to order to them. That why training your crew is very important.. The manger that approached me for both times I had to come in acted like she did not care at all. My opinion is she needs to be partnered with a more seasonal manager and trained properly to be a manager and not a crew member in a manager shirt.. On my way out the personal that Takes care of the lobby and building heard and observed mine and the manager conversation and asked me if he could at least offer me a free meal card or something to make up for the mistakes (since the manager did not) and I told him no thank you I was not here for anything free just wanted a fast meal before being stuck at work for the next 9 hours and couldn't leave and to save the card for someone that might need it more... Sad that he seemed to have more manager skills then the so...
Read moreWe come here almost every week and at least two times a month we have a problem here something missing, something not dot done right we ordered two $5 meals and all we got was a McDouble and a mcchicken no nuggets no sauce and I believe the person who gave us the food was the MANAGER didn’t realize till we got home and they were already closed or we would’ve went back and got our nuggets we check the bag almost everytime and they sit there and look at us like we’re dumb but then the one time we don’t check it we’re missing two things of nuggets not to mention we ordered online once and when we got there, the drive-through was blocked off, so we decided to walk in with a doorDash driver and when we got in, we heard one of The workers say how did they get in here? The door is supposed to be locked and then when we told her we did an online order she tried to get us to refund it online and was pretty rude about it. If you work at McDonald’s, you should know you can’t refund things drive thru mobile orders we told her this she was acting as if she wasn’t going to give us our food or refund. then the manager walked around the corner and looked angry and just said to give us our food and we’re the last ones and then walked out the store in conclusion this McDonald’s is VERY unprofessional and just avoid it if you can and if you do make sure to check your bag!!! We’ve also gotten a completely raw hamburger from them too if your thinking about risking it!! I was eating while I was making this that’s why our burgers are...
