In the past, I have given this wonderful restaurant five stars, because they were deserved. However, on our my recent visit, today, the entire dining experience was totally ruined by a bunch of very inconsiderate and loud partiers that didn't seem to care how much they were upsetting everyone around them. I will start off by saying that the food was excellent, the Margheritas were really good, and our server Vicky was so friendly and pleasant. That's where the good comments end. The noise and yelling in the restaurant was ridiculous and unbearable. There were people all around us that were quite angry about the ridiculous behavior, and one lady sitting behind us actually had to put her hands over her ears because of the extreme racket. I called over the so- called manager to ask him to please ask that party to tone it down a little. He flatly said that this was a " family restaurant " and there was nothing he could do. I asked him to please be a leader and a manager and just ask those people to not make so much noise. They were yelling, banging on the table multiple times, loud laughter, etc. It was a miserable dining experience and the manager was totally useless and indifferent to accomodating some very upset and angry customers. The customers across the table from us, actually got up and left as their meal arrived. I would have done the very same if it had started sooner. I did not catch the managers name, but he should definitely be sent to school and learn how to manage and accommodate his customers. We are long time customers of this restaurant and this left a very bad taste in our mouths about coming back here again. Dining should be a pleasant and fun experience, but this manager did his best to make sure that this was not going to be the case for probably 20-25 customers that were subjected to this horrible yelling and banging. Seating customers should be the most that he is responsible for. We left the restaurant very angry and felt that the $75 spent was a total waste. They should be able...
Read moreHighly disappointing... I took my daughter and a friend the other day (we usually go to the university location, but this one was closer to where we were). Let's go through what was good: Got seated quickly (actually, we got told to pick a table) Food was decent (not as good as the other location) It was pretty quiet, and we could enjoy conversation
That's all for the good...now, on to the bad: Service was extremely slow-- the waiter literally took 20 minutes to even take our orders, despite us having closed menus, and showing signs we were ready Every single one of us was missing a part of our order: I ordered 2 enchilada Rojas, received only 1; my daughter did not receive the taquito she ordered; her friend only ordered a side of rice and beans -- got no beans (she just shared my daughter's). In the end, my missing enchilada wasn't a big deal, as I was actually full without it. My daughter had to ask (again) for her taquito, which cost me over $4 (I thought it was included in the 2 or 3 item options, so should have just been $1 more, but I could be mistaken, and at this point, I was just ready to pay and leave). My mother supported my brother and me as a single parent on a server's salary, so I understand the importance of tips. However, when service is so pathetic (and I will not fault the server if the kitchen makes a mistake) that every person's order is incomplete, yes, I do hold the server accountable...(We did not even get a simple apology). On a $67 bill, as this was, I rarely tip less than $15, assuming the service was decent...and closer to $20 if it's above...this waiter hardly earned his 10% tip... In the future, we will gladly go out of our way to go to the...
Read moreFor those that love Mexican Food will understand that salsa is key and go along with tacos and food. I was not in the mood for quesadillas etc and decided to choose steak Tampiqueño. I know if you want steak go to an steak place. Wrong there are lots of Mexican restaurants that serve good quality meat but not this one. Poor steak quality. Grill onion burnt on the edge and raw. The Tortillas are the one you can buy at Walmart, we asked for salsa verde and red. Eww then asked for an spicy one lol. The Horchata was also a disappointment. My wife is Mexican and is great at cooking, my plate came first she cancelled her plate after looking at my plate and trying a piece of my steak. The dice tomato were bigger than a Vegas dice. I was starving and is sad to settle for less quality and have to pay for what is supposed to be good quality food. I understand lot of people here don’t know the difference from one Latin nationality and another one. But this place is not authentic I’m aware is Tex-Mex but still way overrated when trying to sell poor quality food using ethnicity advertisement. Manager approached to me just to say hi and see if everything was ok, I expressed my experience to him and he just acted surprised and walked away. Staff is nice but as I said before, for some people they might think everyone there is Mexican well truth is 90% of the employees are from Venezuela, another country with good food, again Not Mexican food. This review is intended for those that appreciate Mexican food made with good quality ingredients. Stay away from this place is not worth the money unless you are just looking for average Tex-Mex Food. Again staff...
