We had an awful experience on Saturday night. It took almost 2 hours for us to get our food. We even called ahead to make reservations at 7:30pm, and they said while they do not take reservations, the table will be ready for us. It wasn't. We got there 5 minutes before we said we wanted the reservation and we immediately knew what we wanted. Our waitress took our order about 15 minutes after we were sat. So at first, the night seemed pretty fast despite the big party that was seated before us. However, that was the only positive part of the night.
People who were sat after us were able to get their food and even left before we did. We had a small group, only 4 of us. We gave some leeway because there was a big party, but once we saw the people who were sat after us get their food (both cooked and from the sushi bar) we started to get upset. The waitress forgot to put our order in, she even knew she messed up because she came over and gave us some edamame, no one else got edamame, and after that it took another hour for us to get our food. We didn't get our food until about 9:00 pm and they closed at 9:30, so we felt rushed to eat. What was even worse was when my father brought it to the attention of what we think was the manager of the night, and the manager embarrassed us and tried to argue that we were sat last and that we were just being impatient.
Their customer service needs work. We wouldn't have been so upset if the manager said, "Yes she forgot to submit your order, I apologize for that."
Instead the woman brought over all the tickets of the night to prove that they did not mess up. The waitress ended up coming over to say that she did not put our ticket in on time. And the manager or the woman who was in charge of that night still refused to apologize.
We will not be back because of how that woman acted, got loud, and brought all the tickets over to us. That was...
Read moreWe were here about two weeks ago and the food was absolutely disgusting. I have the hibachi shrimp and Hibachi chicken and the Hibachi chicken with grilled chicken with hot and cold spots it tasted like it was in the microwave or microwaved. The shrimp was so hard. I couldn't even eat it. That was clearly microwave. The food was just discussing. We will never ever ever go back to this place again. The soup and salad that we were supposed to get before our meal. She forgot our soup and salad, so she brought it after the fact. If you want very very good Thai food eat Nan's Thai in Port Charlotte. It's beside. Lowe's or in that same Plaza as Lo behind the best food by far and then the owner is absolutely wonderful. She makes all of her noodles and wontons are fresh made to order...
Read moreWe're from a different state but were really craving sushi. This was one of the only sushi places in the area which made us skeptical but the reviews seemed good. Our suspicions were warranted after our experience with this place. Since this is the only sushi place in town they don't prioritize quality since they have a monopoly in this area. No competition means that if you want sushi this is the only place to go. Sushi was lacking and not fresh, server was sassy, and atmosphere was weird and awkward. Place is not cheap also, about $20 per person and that was not filling. We learned that if you want good sushi or good food in general, you might need to go to Sarasota or places that have more restaurants to maintain that competition. Will keep eating in until we're out...
