The Backyard at Skip’s Marina — Restaurant in Florida

I moved here in March 2020 & have driven by this place hundreds of times. My husband & I finally stopped in for lunch. Do yourself a favor & stop in for a bite. 1st of all it looks much better up close. Very comfy, relaxing atmosphere. The food is incredible. Not a huge menu but perfect. There were 3 specials, smoked wings, pulled pork sandwich & mahi tacos. I won’t eat wings unless they’re crunch. My husband took a bite of his wing & the crunch could be heard across the canal! Pulled pork sandwich was great. The tacos were heavenly, fried mahi done just right with amazing slaw & Skips wife secret sauce recipe. Great potato salad & the fries were so flavorful. Skip runs a great relaxing space. His Marina gives constant enjoyment with the coming and going of boaters and fishermen. But the companionship of strangers all seeking the pleasure of a meal and refreshment is the cornerstone of this experience, Skip and Joe make it a family gathering and visit. You will fine excellent shopping at the boutique inside of the Marina office. My wife is very selective and she was awestruck by the wardrobe to be sampled. Awesome place to stop by, by either car or boat, and have a beer, watch the sunset and hang with good friends. The places is still a work in progress but they just put in a new Tiki hut, added a bar, put in some nice tables (some on a wooden platform some on sand) and are getting ready to add some TV's. They sell food, beer and stuff like white claw and high noon. The bathrooms are all the way out front (nice walk when you gotta go) on the side of the building which is inconvenient but hopefully they are...
