I ordered to go food for my lunch and when arriving at the restaurant to pick up my order the lady did not say anything to me for five minutes then after i got her attention and asked her for my order , she went to the back for 3-5 minutes then told me she did not have my rice that I ordered with my food . I told her that was okay to just give me the plate that I ordered, and then she proceeded to go to the back again. came back five minutes later and took the next person to order. She started speaking in creole to the guy and having an entire conversation. I asked the guy to ask her when my food will be ready and she told me 20 minutes. The restaurant was not busy when I walked in. I ordered my food around 11 o’clock and showed up at 11:30. There was no reason why my food should not be ready by 12 o’clock, which is the time that I left the restaurant without my food. especially when I ordered the fried pork. This is the worst Haitian restaurant that I have ever been to, and I will never come...
Read moreThe staff seems to have an issue with people who don't eat meat. We only order rice mixed with beans and fried plantains and have been told that they don't have any. We are oftentimes asked if that is all we're having with rude looks. How can you not have something that is obviously a necessity for a haitian restaurant. They also seem to have an attitude against black American women. I am in my country being treated like an outsider by people born outside this country. This is a form of racism within the black community that this younger generation really needs to discuss. It's already bad enough to be treated like this by other races in this day and age. But it should no longer be tolerated within our own. It's like a triple dose of discrimination for being a Vegetarian African American Woman. The owner should definitely check his female staff in regards to customer service as I personally no longer trust eating at...
Read moreThe customer service is nearly nonexistent. The food is not good. The plantains were the best thing on the plate but they need to change out their oil more frequently you can taste that the oil is used when you take bites of the plantain. The order was for Griot with plantains no rice. Although we requested no rice we were given rice. The pikliz was not good. The meat was not good. I recommend changing around the seasonings and how long you allow it to marinate. It would be nice to be greeted upon entry into the establishment. Maybe having a bell so that staff is notified when people enter since staff is in the kitchen and there’s no one in the main area greeting people as the enter the...
