Three of us found this nice family restaurant. Nonna’s interior is a combination of Italian images and family pictures. When you walk in you are greeted with authentic smells and music.
There is a variety of seating, candidly the booth furniture is older, it’s been a while since they did an update, but that doesn’t deter you or question the cleanliness.
We were greeted by Alex, who was very friendly. While the menu lacked the detail that the food deserved, Alex was helpful with her descriptions. She brought us complimentary garlic knots, sadly only two for the three of us.
We ordered the white pizza, Chicken Piccata and a Caesar Salad with grilled chicken. We found the pizza well prepared, the crust a thin hand tossed with a good ratio of sauce to cheese and well seasoned.
The chicken piccata was very tasty, clearly home made sauce that was delicious. A side of bread would have been a great compliment. Overall a good meal and I would recommend.
With that said a few thoughts. We would’ve expected two pieces of chicken on the picatta plate, there was one, likely a sign of the times of food cost. We ordered a chicken Caesar and got a garden salad with chicken, a mistake but significant.
While I love a family restaurant with good food, I’m reminded that often parents and grandparents forget that outside of the family, guests are there to relax and enjoy. Allowing a sock footed, table climbing child to run free and loud, is adorable to the family yet.. disturbing to guests. This isn’t something I found just here, and family bonds are important- just a...
Read moreLet me start by saying I know during a holiday week or during high season sometimes restaurants can be over whelmed. At that time the owner or on duty manager should realize their capability. Owning and managing a business can be difficult but you have to be able to know when to say we are unable to fulfill orders and have a cutoff this will benefit your employees as well as your customers. We were trying to help a local business. My first experience here was not good. I called to place a delivery order at 5:53pm I was told she would call me back shortly to give me my order total. After 22 minutes had passed I called to make sure they had the correct number. A different person answered the phone I was told she has been on the phone and was just really busy. Ok so at this time I am wondering since she has not called back to give my order total has my order even been started it is now 6:14pm and still no call back at 6:32pm she calls back with order total. I ask ok at this time how long do you think it will be she tells me less than an hour. At 7:36pm I call to inquire where my order is I was told the driver has just left and should be here soon. At 7:46 I finally receive my order. Only to have the food be luke warm and the pizza crust was burnt which could be tasted in every bite. We also ordered some other items and they were cold had to warm things up. I would have much rather preferred honesty over an almost 2 hour delivery time for a pizza. Delivery driver was very aplogetic and courteous. However, We tipped him appropriate to the...
Read moreI tried and tried again. Bad delivery, pasta spilled, pizza cheese on box top not on pizza, ( not their fault that would be a slice drive at fault) however, pizza was not cooked, dough was still raw, wings burnt (plain no seasoning). When I called in they said everything looked great when it left so I sent pictures to the owner. She said she would replace the order. A few days go by and I call back having not heard from her. Her kid erased her phone, she said ( I ordered through slice so she could have gotten my information from there). She said sorry they can make the order again. I explained I was leaving the state and would be back in a month. Month later I had no issue when calling and placing and order she was very good about replacing the order, only problem was once I left ( not having checked the order) it wasn't what I ordered. Having watched, rough guess, a 7 year old boy in his bare feet standing on the table during the time I was waiting for the order. Though he was told by his grandmother ( I asked if she was the owner and she said no my daughter is), and mother (owner) to get down, but did not listen and there was no follow through. Perhaps he did erase her phone. Either way, I can't in good conscience recommend this place. The food I did get that was edible just was not good enough to make me try...
