My recent visit to Marshall's was marred by an unpleasant encounter with the store manager, whose behavior left a sour taste in my mouth. As my Mother, who had recently suffered a heart attack, needed to rest, she sat in a chair that was for sale. Instead of showing empathy or concern, the manager's reaction was nothing short of rude. Upon noticing my aunt sitting in the chair, the manager made a face, sighed loudly, and huffed disapprovingly. When I inquired about her attitude, she responded curtly with a dismissive "nopeeeee." This lack of professionalism and compassion was deeply disheartening, especially considering the circumstances. Furthermore, when I raised the issue with a cashier, hoping for some clarity or reassurance, I was met with confirmation of the manager's consistently abrasive behavior. The cashier's candid response revealed that this wasn't an isolated incident but rather a pattern of disrespect towards both customers and employees alike. In a retail environment where customer service should be paramount, encountering such blatant rudeness from a manager is unacceptable. It not only tarnishes the reputation of the store but also creates a hostile and unwelcoming atmosphere for patrons and staff alike. Ultimately, my experience at Marshall's was overshadowed by the unprofessional conduct of its manager. It's disheartening to witness such behavior in any establishment, let alone one that prides itself on customer satisfaction. Until there's a noticeable improvement in managerial conduct, I'm hesitant to return to Marshall's, and I can't in good conscience recommend it to others. Especially with the level of unprofesuonalism. Being a former store manager of 18 years, I would NEVER respond to a client in that way.I think you should really take a look at yourself and the career you chose to see if this is the right place for you. Take this as a chance to receive the feedback as constructive criticism, bc the way you are approaching your customers currently is not okay, Joanna (I believe that...
Read moreCalled the store because I went there today wanting to buy a small cross body Michael Kors purse and since I was doing other purchases they took it to the register area to hold it for me. When I got to the front I paid all the things a purchased ( over $450 in some active wear clothing) and left the store without remembering the purse will be on hold for me. I live in Orlando but have a vacation home in Bradenton I use during the weekends. I got to Orlando and when I am taking the things out of the car, I realized I forgot to mentioned about the purse in hold. Called the store to see if they could help me by at least telling me the purchase item number to see if I can locate the same little purse in the Orlando area as I wonât be back to Bradenton until next Friday. The little purse was the size of a wallet and in mustard color. Very easy to scan with your eyes but Kate the person who took my call was so lazy to walk 30 steps to the area where the purses are to provide good customer service. I must say this is the second time I find out this Marshalls location has poor customer services and very rude management I have experienced. Nothing compared to the friendly staff who works at the Winter Garden Village Marshalls/ HomeGoods location here in the Orlando area. So disappointed as I wanted to take it to my upcoming trip to Las Vegas/ Grand Canyon. People be aware of Kate at the register area. She wonât move a finger...
Read moreThe store was clean and the selection was okay, but the customer service was horrid. The ladies working definitely seemed as if they had better things to do than to be there. To make matters worse, my 13 year old daughter took a dress that didnât fit correctly to exchange it for the size I needed. The lady asked her what she was doing very aggressively. When my daughter told her the lady began to yell, and I do mean yell, at my daughter. I was still trying on clothes and had to quickly get dressed and run out to intervene. I was shocked by this ladies behavior. She also never apologized to either of us. I am not sure what her problem was, I know that we all have bad days, but this was pretty bad. When we gathered our items to go and check out so that we could leave. When we were walking out of the dressing room and the same lady asked if everything worked. I said yes as I was walking out. She then said loudly, â well go shop some more.â This could have been a harmless comment, but after what had just occurred and the tone it which the comment was made, it was just strange and...
