Northside Asian Kitchen — Restaurant in Florida

First and last visit. TAKE OUT ONLY. You can walk in just far enough to place and order, then asked to go outside and wait 15 min. In your car. I had recently had open heart surgery and cannot walk far or stand very well. So I asked if I could pull a chair over and sit inside. The rude girl told me they can't do that because they are not licensed. She offered to bring a chair outside to my car so I could sit there and wait. Think about that for a minute.... so I went over and slid a chair over by the door. She came over and read me the riot act. I gave her a choice. Let me sit, or pick me up from the floor.... So I sat.

Now, about the food. I ordered fried rice. I asked for the normal one. It came with the standard fare. Peas, bean shoots, carrots, etc. But, no scrambled egg or ham. The taste was average at best.

The other item I ordered was the Generals Chicken. It looked like the exact same chicken as sweet and sour chicken, but with different sauce. Again, average taste here.

Portion size was okay for each.

Overall, it appears that are not making any profit at all and cutting corners to remain open. The food isn't going to do that alone as it is lacking. The poor help won't help either, nor will the pile of tables and chairs in the corner.

1st timer here! I was truly impressed with this small take out place. I've been in Lakeland almost a year and have yet til coming here. Actually been able to find what tasted good to me as far as Chinese food has gone. I ordered the LoMein with honey chicken and it did not disappoint. My only wish is that it had been a bit more crispy but I was fine and the taste made up for the crunchiness 😆 the noodles were cooked just right too. The egg roll was given to my friend and they said it was great! My husband had the sesame chicken & pork fried rice. He said the same about the crunchiness of the chicken but he said it was so good that it wasn't a big deal. The lady that took my order was friendly and prompt. It only took about 15 minutes for our order to be ready. Don't let the size of their place fool you. They're small but big on the service, the food, serving size and cost. New in town and been looking for my it chinese food spot. WORST Chinese food I had in my life!! I ordered three combos for my family, and we were all disgusted. My boneless spare ribs was slimey like snail mucus and watery, i could only take two bites before i felt my stomach rejected the food. I thought mine was just a bad batch, until i tried the pork fried rice with chicken wings which had HAIR and a pungent Parmesan cheese flavor. Being reasonably upset i called the restaurant and it took them a day to call back. they gave no solutions, and said "if you want anything done for you, you must return the food" implying THEY WANTED ME TO FISH OUT THE DAY OLD CHINESE FOOD FROM THE TRASH to even get a discount. The manager was rude over the phone and told me this was their first complaint about their food. However, a quick look through the reviews tells otherwise. It was a terrible experience and would not recommend this food to my worst enemy. I wasted 35 dollars to get the same enjoyment as having a homeless man spit in my mouth.
