ALOHA....took a trip over to Dunedin,Fl and visited ‘Ohana Cafe’ .. a hidden gem . There are options for Gluten Free, Vegetarian, Plant Base and Spicy. They serve breakfast all-day and the menu has a vast variety of options. I chose the Mahi-Mahi Tacos. First, I want to say there is a difference btwn bland and fresh and these were very very fresh.. the shells are homemade and have a nice crunch. Fish was seared and nicely seasoned. But, the cilantro lime slaw was really good.. every bite I felt like I was at the beach. And save the tortillas to pick up the xtras and the lomi lomi tomato. Also tried their handcrafted Ohana drink.. choose either strawberry or Pineapple. Both are made freshly blended with splash of seltzer. Refreshingly delightful..way better than the well known Coffee chain with a green sign. First time trying a Popover.. highly recommend to eat warm with the Organic Macadamia Nut Sauce.. great meal to eat at the beach..

I went here with my boyfriend while on vacation to Florida from New York. The waitress we had was so sweet! She came to our table quickly when we sat down. We met the owner, who was so so nice! The food was AMAZING! I am vegan and their selection for vegan food was awesome! They have a flower symbol next to their vegan items on the menu which made it a lot easier for me. We got their hummus as an appetizer. SO FRESH SO GOOD! I’m picky with my hummus, this hummus I could eat everyday. My boyfriend got the bison burger and said it’s the best burger he’s had. I got their sunshine veggie burger 10 out of 10! Their potato salad was also vegan and I was so tempted to buy more to bring back with us. I saw they also had vegan cupcakes! Love this place. So appreciative of their options for plant based eaters😊 We will be stopping back before we head back up to NY for sure. I wish they’d open one up there😂 thanks for the fantastic service!

The food is good, and the smoothies, but more than one time I had ordered online and they canceled it. I had called (like today 8/6/2021) at 7:10pm and a lady responded the phone before I even speak and said “We are closed”, when the page says they close at 8pm. That is very disrespectful and not a good customer service. This has happened more than 5 times. The last time I arrived to the local because I made an order online, and when I got there, they had canceled the order, almost 1 hour before the time they were supposed to close. Also responded the phone without even asking “Thanks for calling, how can I help you”. I mean, part of a good business is the good manners and to treat well its customers. My suggestion, attend better this side of your services. Attached is the photo where says that the time to close is at 8pm. Update your website to reflect the correct schedule.

I end up going here when my first choice gluten free place is closed. EVERY time I go, service is SLOW and INATTENTIVE. Servers ignore empty glasses, are only available when the check or food is ready. Servers will walk past your empty glass to refill someone else's because you're NOT THEIR TABLE. Servers will ignore the universal symbol of ready to order (menus closed) because you're NOT THEIR TABLE. And if they do take pity on you and take your order, they will tell you that you're NOT THEIR TABLE - as if they're doing you a favor. Also, leaving glasses right side up on tables is against health code. (Tableware should be stored to protect the edge that comes in contact with the mouth and to present the handle to employees or customers). Cups and glasses should always be stored upside down to prevent contaminants from falling in. Not to mention, even if it's not used, that glass still has to be washed! Gross.

About the food, generally it's ok. I do find the prices a little high for what you get. I order over medium eggs and they flip them, so the outside is tough, but the whites in side are still liquid. Gross. And the macadamia sauce they offer with pancakes tastes like corn syrup - cloyingly sweet. The gluten free pancakes are very grainy, but seem undercooked. Gross, again. The coffee always tastes burnt or old, I've stopped ordering it.

I think if they hired a decent manager here it could do well. But the current staff doesn't care about customer service or retention...

I've been wanting to try this place for a long time since I have a gluten and dairy allergy, and they have a lot of options on the menu. I ordered the gluten-free and vegan pancakes, which tasted great. However, I did experience some stomach discomfort later on. Maybe cross contamination? I own a business and know how hard it is. Especially in the hospitality industry. I really love to hand out 5 star reviews. The only reason I'm writing this is to address what I believe is a huge health concern. The older lady that I am assuming is the owner was walking around the restaurant with a dog. She was helping customers and going into the back, which is usually where the kitchen is. Looked like a cute puppy and was well behaved, but dogs should NEVER be inside a food establishment. The health department actually recommends that all food establishments are completely pet free, including those of the customers. But the owners of the businesses are able to make their own rules. And, of course, medically necessary animals are allowed in the dining areas only per state laws. I'm highly allergic to animals and was having a minor allergic reaction as I was sitting in the dining area. I couldn't figure out why I was having an allergic reaction until I realized the owner had the dog in a shoulder bag. I was really surprised. Just not sanitary. I hope they reconsider having the dog onsite, especially in the food preparation areas. Because of this, I...
