Agree with another reviewer. It's new, it certainly has potential but there are definitely some finer points to iron out. Two of the dishes out of 4 people were sent back for missing ingredients (no truffles on the filet, the main selling point, and no mushrooms or sausage in a pasta dish that was only sausage and mushrooms and what appeared to be egg noodles a la beef stroganoff from childhood...) while the other two guests just ate there's as is because they didn't want to wait longer. Octopus appetizer was one small tentacle that wasn't even enough for 4 people to have one bite. We all sat there looking at it trying to be polite about the 2 bites on the plate. Puzzling because I saw pics from other reviews which looked like good portions.Burrata was good with a few pieces of prosciutto and arugula but not anything I haven't had elsewhere or bought from mazzaros or felice myself. Perhaps we caught them on an off night or one where everyone came in at once and overwhelmed the kitchen. Its not a big restaurant inside so I could hear a few other tables sending items back as well. Wine menu had some nice authentic picks, we enjoyed a sangiovese and a chianti. Staff is super friendly and everyone was running around at full tilt doing their best but they were very busy. I grew up in a family restaurant so I remember those kind of rush nights. Will try again because they are new, perhaps on...
Read moreLooked for an upscale Italian place to celebrate a birthday. This had great reviews too. Cozy place with upscale touches. No liquor license, only beer and wine. Wine and bread with unique dip were good. Paid $10 each for two bowls full of iceberg lettuce, sliced grape tomatoes and a few pieces of yellow onion. The vinaigrette that comes with it was flavorless. The server also brought oil & balsamic vinegar to the table which helped. The Lasagna was only warm and just okay. After serving the Mussels appetizer instead of entree by mistake, the entree Mussels with garlic, white wine and tomato over pasta was flavorless, with no taste of garlic and the mussels were a bit chewy. A few pieces of the fettuccine were a little more than al dente. Asked for black coffee's and sugar, and received two made with creamer or milk which was fine at this point. The Cheesecake was a child's portion and Lemoncello was not chilled and melting a bit. They did sing Happy Birthday which was very much appreciated. The dining experience was a bit slow but our server was friendly and making an effort so we felt bad if we had complained about everything to her at the time. Our bill was close to $130 for two people. Was really disappointed, especially at that...
Read moreI can't believe the sheer incompetence and disregard for customer safety I experienced at this restaurant
Picture this: I'm enjoying what should have been a regular price of bread with some of their complimentary Seasoning oil when I suddenly crunch down on a piece of glass - yes, GLASS - hidden in my food! It's like a nightmare come true, a nightmare concocted by the negligence of this sorry excuse for a restaurant.
But wait, it gets worse! When I bring this life-threatening incident to the attention of the staff, they have the audacity to brush it off like it's no big deal! Not only do they refuse to take the tainted meal off my bill, but they can't even muster up a simple apology for the near-disaster they've caused! I'm beyond livid. How dare they put my health and safety at risk and then have the nerve to act like it's business as usual? This isn't just a minor inconvenience; it's a gross violation of trust and basic human decency.
Consider this a warning to anyone even thinking about dining at this dump: steer clear unless you have a death wish! As for me, I'll be shouting from the rooftops about this disgraceful excuse for a restaurant and praying that nobody else falls victim to their negligence. Absolutely...
