Normally we love this Panera, the General Manager is always welcoming, friendly and fun to talk too. However, unfortunately she was not here. We ordered 2 meals and patiently waited for 10-15 mins and noticed there was another lady on the order screen with the same name as my mother. She was one order ahead of us so we assumed when they called the name it was to the correct person, big mistake, they gave our order to the wrong person. The manager Shawn said he would re-make it so we had to wait another 10-15 mins and I did not complain as mistakes happen. He calls out our order and we simply wanted to make sure everything was in there before leaving (as we always do) and he asked multiple times "Please step away from the window" as if he was annoyed at me double checking the bag (which I always do anyway but can you blame me after they gave our order away). I asked for a free bakery item as we had to wait double the time and he said agreed and a girl kindly went over and grabbed the brownie I requested. As she was doing that we discovered in the bag it was a pepperoni mozzarella melt and not the pepperoni mozzarella baguette I had ordered. When I mentioned this to Shawn he instantly said "We have to re-charge you then" instead of offering to just re-make it. At that point I was annoyed because we have been waiting all this time, you gave away our order and now you want to charge me the extra couple dollars, PASS, I just wanted my money back. As he proceeded to issue the refund he mentioned how generous he is and how he "gives away the town" but I should NOT have asked for anything for free. I said "to be fair you never offered" and he replied "You never let me get there" when he would have been perfectly fine if my mother and I would have just taken the food and left and he would have not offered anything. He did not have good costumer service skills and then told my mother and I the customer is not always right and when the cashier who took our order apologized I told him its not his fault and then Shawn muttered under his breath "it technically was". EVEN IF it was rang in incorrectly on accident, mistakes happen but it's how he handled this issue that rubbed me the wrong way. He also added in before we left "You got a free pizza" which I did not take because I didn't even want it at this point, they can keep it. We also observed none of the other staff interacting with him (As they do with other managers we have met) so if he is this unpleasant to work with as a customer, I can only imagine how miserable he is to deal with as a manager. The rest of the crew was...
Read moreI work in Port Charlotte literally TWO MINUTES down US 41 from here and the past few times my coworker or I have ordered from this location they take way too long to deliver. This morning, I ordered my breakfast between 10 & 10:30 am and still hadn't received it at 11:10, I waited to call because their website states 30-40 minutes for delivery and I was giving the benefit of doubt that it was on its way. So I called and spoke to a man I suppose is the manager (with a strong accent) who first told me there wasn't any delivery with the name I had given so it might not have gone through or could be at another location.. I called in this location on the phone to place my order to be sure they had what I wanted.. so after telling him this, he says oh the item has been on a hot plate this whole time because the employee who typed it in didn't select a time for delivery! Now this would be a simple mistake, and the girl who I originally spoke to on the phone sounded young so she may be a new hire, but to leave something for an hour and no one paid any attention ? Waste. Also as he told me this, a female employee in the background began speaking and I could hear her saying something about 10:20 am (which is probably when the order was put in) and I look to check the time it's 11:19 am, an entire hour later! No, I definitely did NOT want that food that was left out and ignored for an hour on a hot plate. Yes I wanted a refund, and I could not tell what else this person was trying to say over the phone because of a combination of his accent and broken pattern of speech. I think this could have been handled much better. Will not be ordering delivery from here again as long as this male is still employed in a supervisory position.
TL;DR Save your time and go to the North Port location where I have had much quicker and accurate...
Read moreMOST HORRIBLE SERVICE EVER! My problem was that I ordered a pizza on google. I had specific instructions to deliver outside at the table. They got done with the order and did not bring it out, letting it get cold. I called and they came out. The waitress gave some lame excuse as to why they did not bring it out. She said that since covid-19 they stopped delivering anything outside. I told her that was not true. I ordered three or four pizzas to be delivered outside at the table before and all of them had no problems being delivered. Furthermore, I explained to her that there were no disclosures on google or the website telling me this. Also, I explained to her that I no longer go in there because I do not wear a mask and that the people inside give me flak about it, so I stay outside. Furthermore, she told me that the next time (which there will NEVER be a next time for me), I should tell them what table number I was sitting at. She then pointed to the table number which was completely camouflaged so it was hard to notice. I told her I could not see it, but that was not the problem any way. The problem was not that I did not put down a table number, it was that they all of a sudden stopped delivering outside. Its a little hypocritical to say that "because of covid-19, we stopped delivering outside" when INSIDE there are lots of people gathered, and OUTSIDE there are not! WHAT IDIOT MADE UP THAT STUPID POLICY! I would like to meet him, and let him know he needs to learn a little science! I will NEVER go near...
