I am giving this a one star despite the stuffed crust pizza being delicious. I understand the place was busy, but the staff handled it poorly. I placed my order online and selected to pick up at a later time of 8PM. I submitted the order around 630pm. I got there at 758pm to pick up my order. I walk in to an employee saying they weren't even supposed to be there. The phones were ringing and another lady at the front said she is just going to let them ring and not answer them the remainder of the night. They did not have my order ready and I was told that since I ordered a stuffed crust, they are not prepped and have to be made as they are ordered. I was also told I had at least 15 orders in front of mine. Being the nice person I am, I elected to go to the grocery store and come back later for my order. Anyhow, I get back about 840 and am told my order is in the oven. I sat inside and just watched the chaos unfold. There were police called for people being mad that their pizzas weren't done and getting into accidents in the parking lot. The woman who was talking about the phone not being answered was surprisingly answering the phones now. However, she has a potty mouth and is not afraid to utilize her profane vocabulary while the lobby is full of guests. There were numerous employees saying they were going to walk out, the guy on the cutting table was saying he was going to start throwing pizzas away. I watched the delivery drivers start grabbing pizzas and start placing them in their bags for delivery. They must have been grabbing from wrong orders. I can't quite blame them though because the guy placing them on the shelf was telling them to mix and match. Despite being told my pizzas were in the oven, they couldn't find my entire order. I waited until 915pm to finally get my pizzas that were ordered in advance and supposed to be done at 8PM. If this place had a video camera to broadcast on youtube, they would have been overnight sensations. It was more drama than the jersey shore. The apparent manager was busy filling out a police report and could not help out. Overall, the woman at the register was rude and disrespectful and the entire staff could not handle the pressure of a busy night. If I didn't already have the food paid for, I would not have paid for it. The GM needs to have a serious heart to heart with his/her staff to determine who wants to be there and who doesn't. It was blatantly obvious that several people didn't care about the...
Read moreWe order from the Pappa John's in Middleburg 3-4 times a months. We live 30 minutes away and we make special trip to this location because the service and the food has always been very good until tonight. When I entered the resteraunt to pick up our pizza no one was at the register and no seemed especially especially interested in helping. Finall a young man asked me for the name for the order, he told me the total and I paid with my debt card. After rongong up the order he told me that our order had been sent out for delivery, another customer ordered the same pizza and it went out with deliver. There was no apologize, insyead he said they were making our pizza, I asked how long it would take, he said 6 minutes and it would be ready, that was at 9:10 pm, I got our pizza at 9:27 when I walker in they were putting it in the box and one of the young ladies working there handed me the pizza and said "Have a nice evening" and she walker away. There was no apology or mention of how long it took. Whe we were waiting I read the information about COVID cleaning and precaution and I saw none of this by the staff. They were not wearing masks, I saw them go in and out of the store several times and note of them Washed their hands when they went back inside, the cooks/pizza makers did not have on gloves or a mask. At one point I saw all 4 employees go outside and talk to someone in a car leaving a customer in the store by themselves. I work in customer service management and I was appalled by what I saw tonight. There was a total lack of customer service of any kind and my wife and I were deeply disappointed and with think long and hard before we make the 30 minute drive to get a Poppa John's Pizza from this location and that...
Read moreOnce upon a time they made a truly great pizza it was the best you could get delivered to your home. But shortly after the owner of the company injected himself into politics and started making his own personal feelings about religion, personal rights and all matters of government with some very overzealous and bordering on radical religious views a part of his advertisements for his company and backing very narrow minded politicians with extreme interpretations of science and the Christian religion which match his own narrow minded views supporting a very radical religious ideology blended into the inner workings and policy regarding the running of our government institutions and branches breaking with the basic tenants on which this government was founded. I find it very distasteful that he has used his companies commercials and whatever notoriety he may have to support and try to force his rather narrow minded religiously run form of government and ideals that would infringe on other Americans rights of free choice in their own personal lives and the religious choices they should be free to choose for themselves. Not only does his personal ideals hurt the people of this country and how it is run, but his political and religious radicalism has interfered with his quality control of his restaurants allowing the food being served to decline in quality and taste to a point most people i know will no longer order let alone eat the food served at most of his restaurants. Maybe he should try putting his energy and money back into the running of his company and the quality of his ingredients which could more then likely help to improve the taste of his poorly prepared food being sold at...
