Pita Hut (North Miami Beach) — Restaurant in Florida

The staff is prejudice and greedy. From the minute me and my partner walked inside this place it was obvious that were not the usual type of customers that walk into this restaurant. They made a mistake and told me and my partner that we could eat from the salad bar but it turned out we couldn't. We thought the server was just being nice and allowing us to eat from the salad bar. We each got two small plates. Next thing we know the server comes back and admits that she thought we ordered something else that allowed us to eat the salad bar for free. She tried to tell us to put the food that we already started eating back. We said that we were sorry but didn't put the food we started eating back because that's gross. Other people were going to eat at the salad bar too. It made no sense to mix our grems into the salad bar. This shows that they care more about money than other people's health. After we were made to feel uncomfortable they took it a step further and charged us each for eating at the salad bar. They charged the full amount as though we had several plates. We didn't continue to take food from the bar after we were informed about the mistake. The amount of food we had could fit in the palm of your hand. We had to make complaint to have them remove the charge because it was not our fault. The server made the mistake and we asked her if she was sure that we could eat from the bar and then she insisted that we could. I don't feel like they wanted us there or for us...

An interesting story was today. I have been to this place before, but this was the last time. I did an order (take out ) and was waiting it near the cashier. Prior to this, a few minutes ago, one person in the hall canceled his order. Burger with a French fries (I don’t know the reason, maybe it's cold, maybe something else). The girl brought his dish back to the kitchen. They have a row with glass, everything is visible. And when my order was placed, the person who was there behind the glass, with his hand (without gloves, of course), takes his plate and He put fries from that plate into my plate. I saw it. (I thought, maybe this customer is given his order with him). Not! this dish was prepared for me in a bag! I asked the girl how this could happen, but she tried to assure me that he took the French fries from the oven. I opened my plate and checked this French fries. It was cold and not fresh. (and I will not be amazed if the previous plate is not the first plate where this French fries was). I just had to leave. It's a shame! I will not return to this place and do not...

Guys please beware of this location. I have been a local and valuable customer for a while. But that stops today. I placed an order for sandwiches and got upcharged to platters instead on my bill. They refused to do anything about the order because “It was already made”. They played back a phone call recording and said that I wasn’t specific about what I wanted, but I clearly said sandwiches. A meal that should of been $35 ended up costing $67 and they demanded payment. Will never go back to this place again. Try Pita Plus across the street in the plaza. I can’t believe how rude the owner or manager was when I sent my friend to pick my food up. The fact it is 12:30 AM, getting out of work, shows exactly how frustrated I am with this establishment.
