On our 1st dining-experience visit with family and friends was phenomenal! However this most recent dining experience visit was very disappointing! Our reservations as a party of six we were seated in the middle of the restaurant in a private room setting that was beautiful and had a glass-view to all patrons walking in to dine for the evening. 1st it was a rainy night outside and this room/table which had a tremendous loud dripping noise from the rain above our heads through the full meal basically ruined this pleasant birthday celebration as well as our full dinner etc. (ownership needs to have this blonder/construction over this exact table of rain/water leaking, dripping from upper roof to the sheetrock above our table resolved) On this visit our food was ok nothing special! Our first visit was phenomenal (five-stars)! But the second visit was starting with cold appetizers, and in my entree my Lamb chops which I requested to be cooked medium were lightly browned but completely raw inside. I actually told the waiter to throw away, but was not offered to have the matter resolved or the food replaced, which 90% of the meal/entree was still on the plate. The bill was over $1,500+ including gratuity for the special occasion which the price is no concern, but when you spend a large amount of money for fine-dining you expect to get it. Not the loud overwhelming leaking above roof, dripping onto the lower level ceiling above us as we’re trying to eat in a peaceful lovely environment! The leaking/construction flaw above this extravagant table was not first & was not something new, obviously it was a ongoing problem because our waiter and other table staff mention how many complaints they have received. Basically nobody should’ve been seated at this table if it’s an issue until it was resolved and fixed, especially at a high in fine dining five-star cuisine. As for the food which started with salads, many appetizers, dinner & desserts as I mention, it was basically ok with not acceptable raw “Lamb chops” but nothing like the first phenomenal time when we sat in the main room and if we did not have such a wonderful time on our prior experience, it would be one-star rating instead of three-star. Still deciding if we want to give this a third visit since we do dine only in five-star, fine-dining restaurants a few times a...
Read moreWe have visited Restaurant Medure on several occasions. On our last visit we requested a quiet table when we made our reservations. We were seated next to the kitchen and behind the bar, which is not really a quiet table, but that would’ve been fine. Unfortunately, we had to deal with a drunk patron at the table next to us. This individual was so loud that my husband and I could not even maintain a conversation. Several of the tables around us even remarked on the poor behavior of this obnoxious patron. We requested a table change, but we were told that it wasn’t possible at that time.
The manager never took any initiative to quiet the rather drunk lady. After our meal was finished and the unruly patron left, he came by to apologize and asked what he could do to make the situation right. Unfortunately, that was too little too late. We told him outright that our evening was ruined, we would not be back and we would certainly not recommend Medure to our friends and neighbors any longer. He sent us on our way with his personal business card and phone number telling us to give him a call when we are ready to come back and he will make sure that our dining experience is exceptional.
No thank you. We do not want a free meal and we don’t want to be treated like royalty on our next visit. We wanted responsible management. The manager should have quietly addressed the drunk and obnoxious lady to keep it down or leave. Her irresponsible behavior had a negative impact on everyone nearby.
We had beef carpaccio as an appetizer, and it was very good. My lobster gnocchi was also a very nice meal, and my husband‘s fish was OK. Our server was very attentive until we asked for him to move our table. After that, we rarely saw him.
The ambience has changed over the years—it is more like happy hour at a bar, definitely not fine dining. This used to be one of our favorite restaurants, and we do not plan on returning. It was a very disappointing evening. I am sorry to say we cannot recommend Restaurant...
Read moreOutstanding experience! Shout out to the waiters who were outstanding for a large party! The complimentary bread was fantastic! The four course meal included a Bib salad that was appropriately sized with an outstanding vinegarette! The scallop appetizers were large and delicious! Can never go wrong with scallops, and these were cooked to perfection! For the main course I selected a New York Strip that was cooked to perfection. It was full of flavor, appropriately seasoned. The steak was huge, but I ate every bite! 😋 the steak was over mashed potatoes and served with asparagus spears that were also cooked to perfection 🥰. I'm not sure if there was butter or oil over the servings, but it too was very flavorful! I mean, butter makes everything taste better. Finally, the dessert. I can honestly say that I was not impressed with the desserts. The flour less chocolate torte was not the taste I expected. The presentation was beautiful, but not flavored to my tastes. It was chocolate, but it tasted really salty. Definitely not a traditional chocolate flavor. A colleague had the creme souflee and it was much better. They have a full bar and a large wine selection. Overall, fantastic restaurant and...
