We’ve been here often over the years and usually it’s great. It’s normally a place full of friendly staff, quick and inexpensive meals and decent food. However today was one of the worst service experiences I’ve had in my life. As soon as we sat down our server was rude, short and came off very aggressive and seemed like she was in a bad mood. I made a comment to my partner about it, and she must have heard me because she never came back to our table after that. Someone else eventually came and brought us our food after waiting for awhile and the original server peeked her head over and said “is everything good? I guess everything but the service, right?” I looked at her confused and in shock for a second when she went on to say “would you like to complain to my manager to get me fired?” And when I said sure, she yelled across the restaurant “you hear that? She wants to complain to get me fired” where the girl who brought our food said “I’m not gonna fire you” and laughed. Someone else entirely brought us our check. Everyone is entitled to a bad day but there’s no excuse to talk to a customer that way. We have been meaning to try out this local diner for quite some time now and I can tell you we didn't know what we were missing. The place is a quaint diner with everything you would expect to see in one. The staff is very friendly and attentive from the minute you walk in to the last minute when you cash out your check. The food is really great. Our party of three ordered breakfast. The stuffed blueberry French toast was out of this world good. So good that we ordered that and the carrot cake French toast to go for a future breakfast. The junkyard omelette was very good and has literally everything in it, a good mix of fresh veggies, meat and cheeses. The omelette was ordered with a side of home fries and toast, definitely didn't leave hungry. Portions were great. Our daughter who is a fairly picky eater really enjoyed the kids silver dollar pancakes with powdered sugar and syrup. Our server Nicole was very attentive throughout our visit and very personable. She interacted with our daughter alot and she really enjoyed that. If you looking for great food, great service and a cool diner environment definitely check this place out. I give it a 5 across the board and this is why. I was there on a Sunday morning. They are well staffed with the friendliest people all have great personalities and very helpful even if not your initial server. You can see they even support each other. No waiting for anything. The trays of food that passed me by were appealing in size of portions and appealing with nice presentation. The menu is awesome and priced right for one or huge family gathering. The place was clean, no goop on bottles, and all the condiments you possibly would want. Coffee refills without asking were politely offered. This place has been here for 20 ish years and with the expansion can fit more people than you think. And staffed so there is no waiting. Food fun delightful to have found this gem of a place. I can’t wait to go back and try out some of the omelets, and pancakes they have to offer. Friendly group of people....
