Sweet Melissa's Ice Cream Shop — Restaurant in Florida

My entire family has been visiting Casey Key for a few summers now and always enjoy our time. We normally end each evening with a cup of ice cream from Sweet Melissa’s while enjoying the rocking chairs out front. Unfortunately, we were very turned off by one of our visits during this past week of June 5th. One evening there were 2 young ladies working behind the counter and one of them was wearing a very inappropriate outfit for serving a family oriented ice cream shop. The young lady had on a pair of cut off denim shorts that were so short, her buttocks cheeks were showing. So as she turned around to make a sundae or milkshake, at the back counter, she was giving everyone a full view. It definitely became uncomfortable when a group of teen boys came in and were very thrilled by the young girls outfit. There’s a time and place but not at a family...

Just moved to the area in February and already have been here several times . Asked my fiance why after we have been dating almost 6 years am I finally finding out about this place . He said he saved all the great places for when I eventually moved here.

What a gem for vacationers and snowbirds that stay near this ice cream shop . They can walk from most of the Airbnbs and rentals in the area, there are quite a few rocking chairs to sit and relax and enjoy your frozen treat . What a huge selection of amazing flavors. So far the Banana crunch, Kailua Krunch, Rum Raisin , Blue Berry Cheesecake are a few of our favorites. I think I saw take home sizes as well. But that takes the fun out of going for ice cream . Nice choice of flavors. Big portions... only 3 stars because bathrooms had already been cleaned and gate up at least 45 minutes before close. Which is inconvenient amoung un logical. with many customers still walking in and hanging around. I paid for ice cream and was refused entry past the gate to use Facilities since they where already cleaned the bathroom a staff girl told me. Don’t know if I’ll be back not only for that reason but her handing my cone to me before being able to pay when I asked her to hold it for me while I grab my cash. She gave me attitude.
