It's a shame that I have to post this review but it's very frustrating when one of your favorite restaurants makes personnel changes and it goes straight into the gutter. Have no complain of their food or ordering in, but do not order to go because whoever is taking your order has absolutely no clue what she is doing and the worst thing is that she just sits there and argues with you I called in an order for 3 exact style breakfast with pancakes I get home and I notice that I got pancakes for 3 breakfasts but only 2 breakfasts, I called and I was told to return that my breakfast will be ready so i returned to the store to be received by an attendant wanting to argue about the situation, because she only charged me for 2 breakfasts, even though she gave me pancakes for 3, we'll I offered to pay for the additional breakfast and I was told, never mind that they were preparing the missing breakfast. Then the unthinkable unfolds, I was given 2 Styrofoam plates with just 2 eggs each and nothing else, no bacon, no sausage. When I asked where is the rest of the breakfast and I told the attendant why 4 eggs, she just started arguing again 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️. How can anyone be so unbelievably ignorant. I ended up leaving the eggs and just going home, I made sure to call management at the lake underhill store and informed them what had happened, I also told them that I would be dropping a review. I then got a call from supposedly the owner and after apologizing for the poor service and rubbing in my face the race card, she asks me to give her another chance before dropping a review and that she would call me the following day. Well after waiting 3 days and never getting a return call from the so called owner, here I am dropping a review. By the way she didn't even offer me at least a free donut. I absolutely do not recommend ordering online or over the phone to go from Tainos bakery, it is the worst experience you will have. You are better off going to Melao Bakery which is 5 minutes down the road here is a picture of...
Read moreA Mixed Experience at Tainos Bakery, Kissimmee
Visiting Tainos Bakery on Buenaventura Blvd in Kissimmee, FL, presents a blend of delightful tastes and a patience-testing service. There’s no question about the quality of the food here; it’s absolutely great, capturing the essence of what you’d hope to find in a local bakery and eatery. Each dish we tried was prepared with care, showcasing a variety of flavors that left us wanting more.
However, our experience was somewhat marred by two notable issues. Firstly, the natural orange juice, while fresh, didn’t quite hit the sweet spot we were looking for. It lacked the sweetness that usually accompanies freshly squeezed orange juice, leaving a bit to be desired in the taste department.
Secondly, and more significantly, was the issue of service speed, particularly during the breakfast hours. It appeared that the bakery might be grappling with understaffing issues, as evidenced by the lengthy waits for both seated and to-go orders. We found ourselves waiting 25 minutes for our initial order and an additional 20 minutes for a to-go order. This level of delay can be challenging, especially for those coming in with high expectations of a quick and satisfying meal.
It’s clear that Tainos Bakery has the potential to be a standout establishment in Kissimmee, thanks to its excellent culinary offerings. However, to truly elevate the customer experience, addressing the staffing situation could greatly reduce wait times and improve overall satisfaction. While the food is worth the wait, it’s advisable not to arrive on an empty stomach, at least until these service speed issues are resolved. Here’s hoping Tainos Bakery can find a solution soon, as it would be a shame for such delightful food to be overshadowed by...
Read moreEdited review: It's a crapshoot in this place. Sometimes they have what I like sometimes not. They won't cook it if you ask. Also must know Spanish or you'll definitely have issues ordering. I always order in English and is so difficult for them to understand. I think the one that takes order is not Rican, because when I speak to a Rican they pick up my little Spanish that I know. Which in this case I say "Alcuhporrya" for the Banana fritters and they look at me like If I'm dumb for not knowing their language. I never had this issue at Puro Dulzor by Karolene in 192 which their banana fritters are the best in town and they do cook it to order. This was my fourth or fifth time at Taino but I won't be going again. Not worth the hassle.
Original review: I've been there 3 times. The first time was great. The 2nd time I arrived at 6:05 pm and it was closed. They closed at 6:00pm on weekdays. The 3rd time wasn't quite a charm. I wanted some fritters. I paid and waited about 15 minutes but their associate told me it was not available. I left heartbroken with a few pastries. I'm going to go on my 4th time to see if I can eat those delicious fritters. I hope they have...
