Thank you Nevin and Naomi. 2021 review: Absolutely great service and delicious food! Haven't been here. I had a great bartender a young lady and as a widow eating alone I felt very comfortable and welcomed! Delicious! I eventually ordered the 12 oz ribeye Pittsburgh Style medium Let me say I've eaten in Texas Roadhouses from Texas to all over Florida and they must have one Executive Chef overseeing all restaurants because I've never had a bad ribeye in any of their locations! I am a Pittsburgh Style ribeye snob! So was my husband.. truly a very...
Read moreI try not to leave negative reviews but when the experience could help the establishment or others, and I have the time, I will.
My team and I had just finished a long work week, there were 4 of us, and I wanted to reward them with a nice steak late lunch. Texas Roadhouse for sure…
We arrived and everyone was nice and we were seated quickly and the place is very very charming, all good.
Our waiter came to greet us, giving his shpiel and upselling everything but still a good time, we ordered drinks, not the expensive mock tails that he mentioned more than once, just sodas or beer. Then he disappeared.
When another person finally came up to the table we asked her to hail our waiter and she said she would be happy to take the order which we did. He came up at the end of ordering, said that he had been attending a big table and all was just fine. Then they never came back. So the food delivery guy runs by and drops off the salad, didn’t even break stride literally reached out and held it for me to grab while he kept walking. A refill on my soda that was mostly filled with ice? Sorry no.
Then the line dance. Cute, all the employees stop and do a dance, okay neat gimic adds to the experience but I did make the joke to my guys that I hope my food isn’t sitting under a heat lamp!
Well I was right. Let me tell you I don’t eat steak much, it is a treat, a guilty pleasure to enjoy on occasions. For the health aspect and of course the cost. So I was so happy when the food delivery girl showed up with our steak.
They were dry!!! I ordered the ribeye and steak fries. What does it tell you when the steak is literally dry and the steak fries right next to it were soggy and limp? Why didn’t I say anything? To who?! So I cut into it and sure enough the inside is pink so it’s literally medium, but it is dry as all get out, what the heck?!
Towards the end our waiter shows up with the good ole “how is everything?”, literally a half hour since we’ve seen him but by that point what are you going to say?
Legendary service? Legendary food? In this case I will give a resounding yes, but not in the way you are marketing it.
I hope this gets to the right eyes and this gets fixed, I...
Read moreIt’s a pretty big-sized restaurant located in a big plaza, so parking will never be a problem. They are only open for dinner (at 4 p.m.) during the week, while on Fridays and during the weekend they also serve lunch.
We stopped here for lunch last Saturday, as soon as they opened at 11 a.m. You enter the restaurant through a small foyer; on your left, you’ll see a small store, and a display of meats (by the kitchen entrance); on your right is the host, who will accompany you to the table bringing you a basket of rolls and butter, plus a bag of peanuts.
The place got crowded very quickly. The staff is friendly, and sometimes they all perform a line dance (which was fun to watch).
We both started with a cocktail, then continued our lunch with a Pinot Noir and a Merlot: no complaints here. The small rolls that come with the butter and the peanuts are just okay: the bread is soft and the butter has a cinnamon flavor (to be fair though: I am not crazy for soft bread or flavored butter in general).
We ordered a filet mignon with Caesar salad + mashed loaded potatoes and a ribeye with green beans + fries. We both requested our meats medium-rare, but while the filet mignon was cooked to perfection (and was very good), the ribeye was rare. I love rare meat, but this steak was very fatty and “nervous”, and the “nerves” made it very difficult to eat.
The Caesar salad was probably the best I had; the loaded mashed potato was good; the fries came out a little bit too dark in my opinion; I didn’t like the taste of the green beans (cooked in some kind of broth) at all.
Although at the end of the meal, I wasn’t hungry (they serve decent portions), I still “had to” order a dessert. They don’t have a wide selection, and I had a cheesecake, which was just ok.
Not sure if they are simply short-staffed, or if it’s their procedure, but I noticed that empty plates and glasses are not taken away as soon as possible.
I normally try to avoid chains, but this restaurant was above my expectations.
Prices are overall decent, and they also offer an Early Dine Menu with special prices on some of their dishes.
Not sure if they have HH… but we will certainly come back again to...
