The Hub on 30A is overflowing with a fun environment, plenty of things to do, great location, and pretty decent selection of overpriced food and beverages... they even have a permanent taco food truck... you'll never be bored visiting The Hub but you might end up leaving completely broke. The food is mediocre at best and the workers at the food places are impersonal and appear to recommend items that they either need to "get rid of" or are trying to fill an order instead of being genuine. On two occasions I asked our server what he thought of a menu item (that I didn't know wasn't on the menu) and he gave me some generic BS about it being good only to look for it on the menu and it couldn't be found and he had to correct himself. We also ended up (over)paying for spilled drinks and getting sticker shock when the check arrived.
While the environment is great remember that you're not allowed to bring any outside food or drinks and you're stuck overpaying for food and beverages. It's very unfortunate that we won't be going back to The Hub because the prices are not good enough to justify the fun environment because you can just cruise down to WaterColor or Seaside and have a much more, overall,...
Read moreI love the concept of the Hub, however the actual experience was sub par. My husband went to watch a football game and was sitting inside at the BBQ restaurant. He said majority of the patrons there were off-the-clock Hub servers and other service industry people enjoying a day off. He said that they spent most of their time discussing how much they despised the service industry, the Hub, and patrons they hated waiting on at The Hub. Customers would walk in, order a drink, and then be subjected to having the bartenders and other staff talk so poorly about them the minute they left. My husband eventually just went back to our condo because he felt so uncomfortable.
I also found the employees at the coffee shop to be surly and not very welcoming when I visited one morning. The barista barely spoke to me and was only jovial and happy when her manager walked into the building. I didn’t visit again after that.
There are so many other places along 30a that are fun, family friendly, and offer delicious food to allow for this kind of behavior and treatment from Hub employees. Unless there is a major shift in the Hub’s attitude and culture, I do not foresee my family paying another visit when we...
Read moreFor starters everything is priced high but what isn't on 30A. Burgers are really good. More like a smash burger than a thick burger. Good customization options. Chicken fingers are processed and not the best but okay for kids. You get a set amount of refills based on qr code on cup and it's measured by ounces. I understand why but when I pay 20.bucks for a burger and fries with a drink I should get unlimited.
Staff is AWESOME they keep it clean, are very friendly and do a great job.
Arcade is stupid. Machine to buy credits doesn't work too good and you have to pay to get 2 cards vs 1. Not many games and priced really silly. Some machine are 42 credits to play... but you buy in 10 credit increments... so you will always be left holding some.
Not much for kids to do unfortunately. Wish they had a open area with more kid stuff so parents don't have to keep them occupied. Room for them to run around but who lets thier kids running around people eating/having a night out that's disrespectful.
