Very cute breakfast and lunch spot in a residential neighborhood. They have a small parking lot, but it was full so we drove around for a few minutes until we found nearby street parking. We didn't have to wait for a table, but most were full and there was a line outside when we left.

I love a good corned beef hash and theirs is homemade, but it didn't quite do it for me. The beef was cut into a tasty cubes mixed with onion and peppers and was a bit on the salty side, or the hash brown potatoes that were underneath were on the salty side. My personal preference for this dish is a finely chopped mixture of all the elements together where their flavors blend. This was more like a corned beef "salad" where everything was isolated and combined with the other ingredients. Overall it wasn't terrible, but not what I care for. Points off for not serving poached eggs, but the scrambled I opted for instead were nice and fluffy.

My daughter has the blue crab quiche and enjoyed it, though she felt it could use more cheese. Full disclosure, we are a family of cheese nuts and my wife makes an awesome quiche that has a lot more cheese than you will ever likely see in a restaurant!

Coffee was tasty. Biscuits with (I think) peach butter were very good. Service was awesome--friendly and she kept the coffee cups full.

Final verdict for my first visit is a solid 4 stars. I love the variety on the menu even if I wasn't a huge fan of what I selected. I would definitely come back to try something else. The lunch salads also sound very...

Wow 👌🏼 just wow. Great little place to have an amazing breakfast 😋. Lets start by the ambiance of this lil gem 💎 its is super clean and relaxed atmosphere with the homemade grandmas in the kitchen vibe. The coffee is served black with a lil side of creamer and you add what ever sweetener you want. Now let get to the delicious breakfast They are known for the BISCUITS AND CORNBEEF HASH. I had the BISCUIT and gravy with 2 sunny side eggs and let me tell you that the biscuits are by far the best of the best that i have had and trust me i love my breakfast and always looking for awesome lil spots and the BISCUITS are top tier. I also ordered the CORNBEEF HASH came with another biscuit and 2 eggs. Well let me tell you if your expecting your usual cornbeef hash this is not it. They have created their own style cornbeef hash the is nice size chunks of Real Cornbeef and potatoes with onions and peppers all you have to do is crack the yokes on the eggs and let it drip in and mix and you will have an explanation on your taste buds. My wige ordered their breakfast burrito and lets just say it was amazing and the size of that thing my wife only was able to eat half of it. That was also a taste that made your taste buds dance. 😋

🚨 if you want to get in quick get their early when they open. But if you have to wait trust me is well worth it🚨

Top tier...

I had a Cuban sandwich, the green fried tomatoes, the sweet tea. My S.O had the Crab Quiche with a biscuit.

The food was decent. If you go into this location never having ate a Cuban, you’d fall in love with it. If you have had Cubans from Tampa, you can see where conceptually they tried to play with making it a cuban sandwich with the filling, but didn’t quite hit the mark with the bread. It was a good sandwich overall, but not totally what I was expecting.

The green fried tomatoes where decent. I enjoy the ones here with the thin battered on it, instead of the thick batter a lot of places do. I’d like to make a small suggestion of adding a touch more salt and garlic powder too it to enhance the flavors of the tomato.

The biscuits where fabulous. 11/10.

The Quiche was okay, there where a small pieces of crab shell (could be something different in it- not sure) in it that was a bit much. The overall taste of crab was strong so if you enjoy the taste of crab you’ll definitely love this item. I was hoping to see a bit more playing if flavors occur, however I’m far from disappointed. The chef hit the mark with the texture of it (besides the small hard bits).

The sweet tea could be a touch sweeter as well. Overall, I’d give a 3.5-4 stars out of 5. They are pretty decent and some small shifts could really make a...

Decided to come here for my birthday because I have heard such amazing things about Blue hen. Was ultimately disappointed with how bad the service was. Whenever we were seated the server didn’t greet us just quickly got our drink order. We had to ask for straws which is not a big deal but still noted. The food came not too long afterwards and I will say it was absolutely delicious. The food is more on the pricey side but I’d say it’s 100% worth it! One of the best chicken biscuits I’ve ever had! The server never came back to check on us for refills or whenever we got our food to make sure everything was right. Finally after eating and still no refills or acknowledgment we asked another server to bring us our check. After we got the check our server still did not come over until I asked her if she could get me a refill because we have not been helped the entire experience. The server Claire apologized for her bad service which I appreciate, but for how expensive the food is the service should be at-least mediocre. Even though the food was delicious the experience ruined it enough for me to not want to return.

In a space I would describe as industrial vintage Chic with a touch of old-world Florida and the Caribbean the Blue Hen Cafe's delicious offerings make it the kind of place you want to go back to again and again. We're in town for the weekend for a wedding, and had heard this was the place for breakfast. We were seated promptly and felt welcomed right away. The chicken biscuits we're amazing. They're huge! I ended up taking one home. I got them with a side of the creamiest, fluffiest grits I've ever had. My hubby enjoyed the southern omelette with collard greens and andouille sausage. We topped off our breakfast experience with the pumpkin pancake with peach butter and syrup! Before even finishing our meal we were already talking about coming back with family to enjoy it again. In addition to delicious food in a stylish space, we were treated to exceptional service. Friendly, efficient, and attentive servers all around. I didn't even have to ask for my to go box. It appeared on the table at just the right moment that I needed it. If I could give more than 5 stars I would.
