Olde Towne Toys — Local services in Saint Augustine

I would give them a zero star if I could. They look cool from the outside and my son enjoyed their lego people; however, that is where the positives really ended. Upon entering, I passed a masked employee who did not seem to bat an eye that neither I nor my child was wearing one. We made it to the first main hallway or puzzles when a older female customer, with her arms full of boxes approaches me and tells me masks are required in the store. As she was a customer and not an employee, who mind you did not mention anything open our initial greeting into the store, I replied ok and continued watching my toddler try and work a sample puzzle. This customer apparently was so offended I did not jump as her advisory that she marched to the front counter to complain. She was checking out and about to leave, but that seemly was not good enough. She had to leave with a win. I was then approached by an employee who asked if I had a mask, but did not actually say I had to have one on. It clearly was an attempt to appease the old woman who was the only one with the issue. To avoid a problem we just left. My son is too young to wear a mask safely and he gets scared when he can't see my face. I just hope the old women spent enough money to make up for...

Wow!!! What an amazing gem of a store. The selection is the best we have seen in a toy store, maybe ever. There wasn’t a ton of the mass market toys - the toys are all very methodically selected with kids, imagination, fun and learning in mind. The owner puts so much heart into what they carry here and it shows. They truly understand kids and in the best way. There are a ton of toys available to play with which was so fun for my kids, kept them from getting overwhelmed and allowed them to discover some unique finds. We bought a few of the ones they enjoyed while we were there. The pricing is very fair compared to the big box options and you get to support local business, too! One of the toys came faulty out of the package and there was zero issue exchanging for a new set even though it had been a couple of days. This is my second time visiting Olde Towne Toys and I regret not leaving a positive review on my first visit. I am always blown away by the selection available. The staff is aKeats incredibly friendly. The store itself is absolutely charming - full of unique and high-quality toys that you simply can't find anywhere else. The prices were also very reasonable, especially considering the exceptional quality of the products.
