Update: March 2nd 2024. I've been going here for over 12 years. And have been more disappointed lately than satisfied with the food & service. Linda continues to be an excellent, professional and kind server that has made this place my favorite for quite a long time. Kathi is an excellent server as well. But the inconsiderate actions of newer employees have interfered with their excellent work. One out of a few issues... I always for ask for most of my food to be well done, for over a decade, and it has recently the past few months come back undercooked so often that I'm starting to believe it was deliberate, and they are bringing their personal issues to some of their customers. Charlotte is fickle and has made dark and negative statements about people in general... nice one day & rude the next, and has often disrespected Linda, seemingly being annoyed that Linda has customers who favor her service. Nicole gives off a similar vibe. Linda knows for 12 years I can't eat undercooked eggs. Charlotte told her to bring out undercooked eggs to me anyway. She has been demeaning towards Linda's positive attitude, And has also rudely interrupted literally 5 seconds of conversation between Linda and I, a while back. After Charlotte did that, I noticed that Linda seemed nervous to have even a few words with me at The Breakfast Club. I was a quiet regular customer for over 12 years, and a generous tipper. I feel that was taken for granted. As much as Frank, Linda, Kathi & Nick., are kind, professional people, I won't be going here as often as I used to, if at all.
Old review: Excellent. I've been going here for over 10 years and they are consistently excellent. This is my favorite place for breakfast & lunch. The food tastes fresh, and the majority of the staff is very friendly, professional, and helpful. Linda is my favorite. Frank, Kathi, Nick... and more... ...
Read moreIf you are looking for a true Mom and Pops home cooked, more food than you probably felt you paid for and a staff that is just as quick with a refill as they are with a joke and a smile. then look no further than Port Richey's "the Breakfast Club" as soon as you approach the front door Mr. Frank will get that door for you and you will be greeted with Welcome to The Breakfast Club and a quick rundown of any newer specials along with a smile from customers and staff alike. If you are fed up with the chain (out of a can into a microwave) style restaurants then this is the place for you. I can't recommend anything over another if you have a sweet tooth they have it if you're feeling Savory they have it if you want something a little bit more daring they've got that. Either way you decide, breakfast or lunch you're going to be thoroughly impressed! If you are looking to take out a client after a nice round of golf or to discuss real estate or anything do not let the location or the plaza fool you. Ambiance and accoutrement is not what you would expect from the Plaza and the outside appearance which is not a slight or a dig at this restaurant. It's cleaned at all times you will not see anyone leaning or playing on their phone or chatting behind the waitress station these folks know what it means to take care of their customers! If you took the time to read this I appreciated it and I know the staff appreciates it. Do yourself a favor and stop and have something and then spread the word. Read moreedited review: 11/27/2020 I ordered breakfast today and it will be the last time we order from here, too many mistakes in the past few times ordering. They lost loyal customers. The portion is MUCH smaller than the last times I ordered. 2 scrambled eggs and home fries, and the wheat toast is burnt on the edge. My husband ordered the country fried steak and asked for the gravy to be on the side. It was on the steak and a 8oz cup on the side being charged for that "side order". The amount of gravy on the fried steak is overwhelming in the 1st place. His eggs also are scrambled & a smaller portion, same with the home fries. & of course, there is no plasticware. Yes, I get that I brought my food home but there should have been all accommodations in my to-go order.
1st review⤵ doesn't matter what time of day I call in my order, the food is always ready when I pick it up on taking out the order. And it's freshly made, and always tastes great. And the front end guy is always a pleasure to deal with( I think he is the owner, I'll ask next time I go). He always makes sure I have everything needed to eat my food even though I'm bringing it home. (Plasticware, jelly, butter, syrup. Etc.) And there biscuits are to die for. Always fresh, and homemade. No other breakfast place can even compare. And their mountain dew. Something about the syrup, co2 compression combo. Makes it the best-tasting dew. This is always my #1 place to eat breakfast food. You won't be disappointed. 5...
