After looking at the reviews for this restaurant after eating here, I can instantly tell that any review that gave this 3-5 stars is completely fabricated.
First off, the food was abominable. I came here with my wife and together we ordered two orders of the Shrimp Summer Rolls, Pho Beef Combination, and Coconut Boba. Around a minute after ordering we received the boba and the summer rolls and it both disgusted us. The ‘boba’ looked nothing like boba at all. It was white, creamy, and slushy-like (photo of it below). The shrimp rolls were really warm (should be cold) and the shrimp was completely uncooked (completely white). The peanut sauce was chunky like it expired (Photo of peanut sauce below). Then my main dish came out and I could smell instantly that something rotted in that food. The meat was floating (it should sink) and it was rotting from the inside out (photo of rotting soup below). It also had tiny bubbles radiating outwards from the soup which looks exactly like when you take something right out the microwave (picture below).
When I asked the server about this, she immediately went to the defensive and scolded me on even asking such a horrific thing. Then they brought the “cook” out and he then proceeded to scold me on my complaint about the food. They did not apologize to us at all nor even ask to remake the food. They just insinuated we wanted the check and I ended up paying the $40.
This was the most disgusting place I have been to. The completely fabricated reviews, the completely inedible food/drinks, and the rude family that run this restaurant (family-run) is the worst I have ever seen it in any restaurant. They seriously need a wake-up call before they get shut down for how unhealthy...
Read moreWe typically frequent Tinh Anh in Tampa for Pho, so trying to be fair with my honest review. Pho Saigon was clean, prompt and service was good. We ordered 2 chicken pho and lemongrass curry vermicelli. Both were sub par. The pho broth tasted like cinnamon and the lemongrass chicken was heavily, heavily seasoned. My Husband ordered the chicken pho and it was a very small portion. We were made aware of the different sizes after we received the check. Either of us truly did not see the different sizes on the menu, so I am not sure if they state them... We paid $11 for a very small bowl of pho with a few little pcs of chicken. It was piping hot and fresh, but the portions were very small. There was a Woman who was walking around the plaza outside, smoking a cigarette, she almost looked lost, who also kept coming in the restaraunt and walking back out. She would walk into the back for a few minutes, leave, then come back in. It was odd to me,cause she did not look very clean, and was definitely not using the bathroom, as they were on the opposite side of the restaraunt. Because of that I probably...
Read moreMy first time eating pho, or probably any Vietnamese food. "Soup" restaurants usually don't interest me. I'm sad that I waited so long to try it. If you've never had pho, the soup itself has a delicate flavor and you spice it up however you like. It's full of noodles, onions, scallions, and meat of your choice. You will be provided with chopsticks and a spoon to eat it (if you can't wrangle the chopsticks, just use the spoon ). One could order the same bowl repeatedly and have it taste completely different each time depending on the ingredients you add to your bowl. The spring rolls are huge, and delicious. Our server was very accomodating and polite, and made sure the kitchen staff was aware of my shellfish allergy. The dining room was nothing fancy, but there is a large tv to watch and a happy Buddha greeting you when you walk through the door. It was yummy....
