I have gone through the drive thru at this particular Wendy's 4 times. It is very obvious that the OWNER, DISTRICT MANAGER and LOCATION MANAGER are absolutely inadequate to run a business. The employee's at this location are only acting the way that they do because of the leadership. They are acting the way they do because they are ALLOWED. They treat customers like it's one big joke and how easily they can put in their time on their shift. How bad can we treat the next customer? You wait to get to the ordering board. They make you repeat your entire order back to them after you have already gone through the entire order. Next you wait. Then you wait some more. Then finally you get to the window. They give you a total. They hand you back your money without saying anything to you. They give you your food and don't speak to you and act like you are one big inconvenience. You are not sure if they have given you the entire food order because they just walk away. They make a face at you when you wait and ask if that is everything in the order. They say "Yes" and let you drive away after a nasty scowl on their face. Then you start to go through your bags. In the 4 times I have gone to this location I received undercooked chicken sandwiches that are literally gooey between the chicken and the breading that is falling off in chunks. A taco salad with NO CHILI. I went back in and said you didn't give me a chili with my taco salad. They said...WE ARE OUT OF CHILI. I said "you sold me a taco salad with no chili?". They said "Yes". I said "I need to order something else please". Fries that are literally brown and cold when you receive them. Enormous chunks of iceberg lettuce that are so big and hard that you can't close your bread together and finally a second taco salad that tasted like no other Wendy's taco salad that I have ever eaten. I had to throw it away. I live in Ohio where Wendy's is a very respectable and good business. I have never seen a Wendy's like this one. They don't understand the "culture" of Wendy's from Ohio. DISTRICT MANAGER...YOU NEED FIRED. OWNER...YOU ARE CHEAP AND DON'T WANT TO PAY FOR GOOD HELP. MANAGER...YOU SHOULD NOT BE THERE. I am personally calling Wendy's Headquarters to speak to them about this location and who owns and manages...
Read moreI've worked in customer service a long time. Longer than I ever wanted to work in customer service but that's a story for another time.
Here's some customer service 101 tips. When the customer drives up to the intercom don't say "give me a second" and have them wait 3 minutes without acknowledging their existence, and then say "Drive up to the window" and then again not acknowledge their existence.
Instead, check back with the customer every minute or so and explain the problem. If you're having computer issues, most people understand that with their jobs.
Also instead of calling your manager over and having them not be able to fix the problem and having a third person come over and having them not still fix the problem, and just ignoring the customer the entire time, instead, again acknowledge the problem exists to the customer and let them know that it might be a little while, and let the customer who might be in a hurry decide whether or not they want to wait.
The vast majority of people will appreciate the ongoing updates nobody likes to just sit there and wait because waiting in a car in a drive-thru seems like forever especially when you can see the people who are supposed to be helping you dealing with a problem.
See I was going to make a joke like I always do with these reviews, turn it into a running gag, an accurate review but a running gag, but this seems to be down to poor leadership and a lack of understanding of basic customer service. If somebody had just done the bare minimum of explaining what was going on and that it might be a while, I would have left because I was in a little bit of a hurry, but I wouldn't be writing this bad review waiting on an instacart driver to drop...
Read moreI use to work in a kitchen at my local convenience store and let me tell you we kept everything clean! This Wendy’s is disgusting. The establishment I worked at was spotless and we took pride in our food and cleanliness. Seeing this Wendy’s was sad. The pop machine was a disgusting mess and I know they don’t clean it. The counters, floors, chairs, kitchen, bathroom. Everything was disgusting! There was no one in the drive thu when I got there and we were the only people inside and no one came to take our order. The guy sitting on his phone in the booth went to the back to get another employee to come take our order and they took forever. Our food wasn’t fresh. My son’s chicken nuggets were old and dry along with his cold old French fries. Only reason I stayed is because my 3 year old wanted to stay so bad but he took one bite of his nugget and didn’t eat the rest. I should have walked out and just told him “no” because of the health risks at this place. The employees there looked like they just wanted to get paid to do nothing. Needs new management and someone who cares and keeps things clean because at this point this place will shut down. I live right down the road and will never be back. Hate to write a bad review but the cleanliness was that gross and the employees could care less that it’s gross. Pick up a rag and some...
