White Duck Espresso — Restaurant in Florida

This is my favorite coffee place in the area! It's always quick, there are SO many options to choose from, and everything I've tried has been delicious. I like that if you don't know what you want, you can give them an idea like sweet or chocolaty and they'll come up with a yummy creation for you. Everyone is so friendly and I've never had to wait for more than a couple minutes (although I do avoid the long lines on the weekend).

I love the reward system and that they can automatically apply your points with your credit card info so you don't have to enter information every time. They tell you each visit how many points you have and when your next reward will be. It also sends you a text with your points and receipt. They also give you pup cups and tell you how cute your babies are which is always a plus.

As far as the coffee goes, 5 stars! I have not yet tried their food.

There are a couple of things that almost led me to give a 4 star rating, but the overall experience is exceptional. One is that they don't have a menu outside. I always pull up the online menu on my phone before I get there, but I'd prefer having a sign to look at. Although the employees are very helpful, it was intimidating my first time not having a menu to look at, especially with soo many options. I believe they'll hand you a paper menu, but I'd feel too rushed. They really cater towards extroverted customers but should also realize not everyone is the same. It's also a little off putting that they directly ask you if you'd like to leave a tip every time. I hope the workers are getting paid a fair wage and don't rely on tips, but it's obvious that they're required to ask every customer for gratuity. Since they are always so friendly, I'm happy to give them something, but the fact that they have to ask you directly makes me question the owner's intentions.

The most amazing little coffee house opened up their second location, right here on Dale Mabry, in Lutz!

White Duck Espresso, is a FAST moving (don't be afraid of the long line!), drive-thru java joint that is the creation of a few folks from Seattle. They opened their first location in Holiday/NPR, in March 2020. [It was] "Quite an eventful month!" one of their employees stated. No doubt, with it also being the kick-off of a horrible pandemic! Thankfully for them (and us - as we all know that coffee is an essential in life!), they were able to remain open, being a drive-thru only service.

They say they have a "Pacific NW vibe with a distinctly Florida flavor." Well, they are definitely doing things right, because the baristas at the Lutz location are extrememly welcoming and are very knowledgable of their craft! Choose an Americano, Chai Tea Latte, Lavender - Blueberry Lotus, Hot Cocoa, Italian Soda, or even a smoothie! They also have so many other drinks from which to choose!

If you can't decide which drink you'd like most, the baristas are more than willing to surprise you with a delicious coff-ection of their own making! They made me a Brown Sugar Cinnamon with English Toffee Espresso Shake. Let me tell you... it was AMAZING!! And for only five dollars, an incredible value!

If you want a little something to go with your drink, they also serve bagels, mini donuts, and four different stuffed croissants (Tomato Garlic Mozzerella, Blackberry, Ham and Cheese, and Buffalo Chicken).

I ordered the Buffalo Chicken Croissant and it was warm, flaky, cheesy, and had just the right amount of kick! I have to say, I was not expecting my new favorite coffee spot to also be a new favorite lunch spot!

I come to this location about once a week when I go into the office as a reward for driving in. I came in this past Monday when I was off work & had a much different experience. I had just left a particularly hard therapy appointment & was having a pretty bad day overall. As I finished placing my order, I began tearing up again and the barista taking my order immediately comforted me like I was a friend, not a stranger ordering coffee. I was touched by the empathy of this sweet worker. As I moved forward in line, I was trying to get the tears to stop when I was met by another barista. This young girl met me with kindness and understanding and took care of my drink for the day. I was so touched by her actions & sweet words. I started to tear up again, this kindness and empathy had really made a difference in my day. As I drove home, I realized that the baristas had left an encouraging message on my cup and it made me smile:) You never know what someone is going through and I’m so appreciative of your staff. I’m always met with great service at this location, but this past visit your baristas went above & beyond. I like to already think of myself as a regular, but just know you’ll have me as a customer for as long as I reside in Tampa.
